    Saturday, 25 August 2007

    Arsenal v Man City, 15:00
    Aston Villa v Fulham, 15:00
    Bolton v Reading, 15:00
    Chelsea v Portsmouth, 15:00
    Derby v Birmingham, 15:00
    Everton v Blackburn, 17:15
    Sunderland v Liverpool, 12:45
    West Ham v Wigan, 15:00

    Sunday, 26 August 2007

    Man Utd v Tottenham, 16:00
    Middlesbrough v Newcastle, 13:30

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another interesting weekend in the Premier league, with United, Chelsea and Arsenal all facing tough games it could be a chance for Liverpool to gain an advantage on them.

Spurs will silence the premature critics once and for all if they were to get a win at old trafford, Arsenal and Chelsea also have home advantage but City could make it the ultimate start with a victory against Arsenal right after a win against their derby rivals.

The other big game of course is the Boro-Newcastle showdown, Newcastle are one of the 'hype' teams this season and 3 points here would really get their season flying, if Boro were to lose I think the pressure could mount further on Southgates shoulders as he also wont be applauded for the imminent sale of Yakubu.

Don't forget our game with Wigan. We won't be forgetting their antics in the summer. Dave Whelan suddenly has a holiday in St.Tropez. He's too scared to come to Upton Park Laugh.

They were trying to get us deducted points yes. Whelan has since said he no longer backs Sheff Utd after it was confirmed we had his registration.

It was obvious he'd stop caring when the season was about to start.

I expect Sven to come up with great anti-football tactics & a horrrible match. 1-0 to the Arsenal, Van Persie set piece.

Hope for a draw in the Man U - Spurs match. No matter what the result will be panic buttons will be pressed somewhere.

the main reason is because they'll come out and actually try to play football which of course they simply are not good enough to do against united

united will finally have a bit of room to play and against this current spurs mob it'll be a free for all in the spurs penalty box

we may even end up with a cricket score Razz

it's great fun picking on spurs when they are down deano, wish I had discovered it before this season Biggrin

It's good to have a dig at Spurs anytime...no matter if they are 1st, 5th, or 15th. They seem to be deluded into thinking that they are good enough to get into the top 4. They have a $h!t CM for starters.

Well these relegation 6 pointers can go either way COTR. Man Utd could be pulled into the dogfight even more.

It's a shame we aren't playing Utd this weekend. I found it highly amusing they had to celebrate the title with a defeat to us.

    @Cotr

Can't argue with regards to our make-shift back 5, its leaky....But have some faith...I mean we have the more clincal strikers, it could be a case of 2 chance= 2 goals for us........and 20 chances=No goals for them...

Who knows...But after a fiasco of a week we had, Man U won't be the only team up for the fight on Sunday....

Its irrelevant when the last time they won, no two matches are the same.

It only becomes of relevance if the players feel they've lost before they walk out onto the pitch.

I thought we would win comfortably every game this season so my predictions have not, shall we say, panned out but I think we'll beat Spurs easily on Sunday. My prediction that we would beat Man City was based on my assumption that they would try and play attacking football - which didn't happen. Spurs will probably be the first team we play this season with the ambition to try and play open, expansive football and I predict they'll be sunk 3-1 at least.

    Get those quotes ready Smile
