Wasn't one of Arsenal fans here complaining about Song making too much runs into the box recently?

A victory.
Played really well today, especially in the first half. Second half was a little nervy and our full backs still aren't up to scratch but on the whole, a much improved performance.
Maxi was really good today, he was playing more central, behind Torres at times and he worked extremely hard for us today so fair play.
The fucking sun was in my eyes all game which was annoying and I didn't really get a good look at Torres' goal but good to see him back on the scoresheet even if I thought his overall game was still not great.
It's a start but I'm still no way near convinced Roy should be our manager - he needs to get a result away from home at Bolton next week to even attempt to start to change people's opinions on him.

It's been quite common this season that he pushes up into the advanced midfielder role. The complaints have been fair because he has left us exposed on the counter-attack at times, and because when he has had the ball in good positions he has been too reluctant to shoot.
This game isn't over yet, but Arsenal need ten minutes without drama. If they can manage that they ought to close it out.

I don't think many non-Arsenal fans would have fancied them to get anything out of this prior to KO and I don't think they would have 11 v 11 but they earned the one man advantage due to a perfectly weighted pass from Fabregas and their opening goal was excellent.
Looking forward to Manchester derbys and United v Arsenal games

Also - I think Richards has shown that he is still a great prospect at RB (not CB) - only 22.

He has had a good game. Capello should definitely be looking at him and Onouha rather than just continually playing Johnson out of habit.

0-3 FT
Excellent result for Arsenal, although obviously the early red card was the foundation for it. Agree with Pierre's comments on the previous page. I'm pleased with their discipline in the second half. They didn't put the referee in the position where he could even the numbers. Credit to Fabianski - I still can't shake the impression that a calamity is just around the corner, but he had an excellent match today.
Richards was a threat for them, but didn't make the most of the occasions when he got into good positions.

Chamakh must be a nightmare to play against. So many penalties/sending offs due to him already. His movement and timing to make sure he gets fouled is uncanny.
Poor game by Clichy, Djourou and the midfield defensively but otherwise a good game. Mancini confirmed the win for Arsenal by taking off Yaya (assuming he's not injured). In the first half Arsenal were struggling to keep up with him, in midfield and defense.
Overall the quality of the game was low. For me it was definitely missing two English players who would have significantly added to the quality of the match, namely Adam Johnson and Jack Wilshire.

Yeah, it's his movement and timing, rather than his willingness to dive, that makes him difficult to play against.
Only at Arsenal could cheating be heralded as talent.

I thought the ref had a decent game to be fair.
We weren't at out best but too often we've performed well in big games and not got the result so i'm happy to take this.
Shaz, you're totally right about Chamakh.
