Valencia have confirmed on their official website they have completed a deal to sign France defender Adil Rami from Lille.
He signed a four-year contract starting from this summer.

Was about to post that, Valencia are making better signings now then when they could spend millions on top players, if only they had a better manager things would be looking up

Better?! I'd really like to see another manager attempt to do as well as Unai has; Despite having lost their two best attacking players they've managed to retain their competitiveness with a couple of mid-table strikers and average defenders such as Costa, Dealbert and Navarro.

If a manager can't make use of Fernandez and Benega then he needs to take a good look at him self and he didn't do much with the team when the had their two best attacking players, constantly making tactically inept decisions, like playing marchena in midfield and maduro in defense among many other things

Anyone reckon Diego Alves will get snapped up soon? He's a very good keeper.

I know you keep going back to this and I am a fan of Fernandes's ability but Banega and Fernandes have such little professionalism you cannot blame Emery for not putting them. Maybe when Banega stops turning up to training hung over Unai will pick him. Talent is not everything.

AS have a story today that Valencia are negotiating for him. Cesar has been good the last couple of seasons but he is quite old. If it is the case then the money the splurged on Moya and Renan was a complete waste.

napoli are reportedly interested in Milito according to sport
would be a better fit for him in regards to his fitness, as the slower pace maybe easier on his legs

Genoa also being linked strongly, esp. after they lose Ranocchia already.

Yup, and I am sure his brother has reccomended them highly... Genoa is looking like a more realistic solution than Napoli.fcb wrote:Genoa also being linked strongly, esp. after they lose Ranocchia already.

Didn't watch him for some time, so not sure about his current form, but in theory he should be a decent replacement for Angel (who is very average btw) and should fit the Villarreal's system very well.Villarreal have agreed to take Brazilian full back Cicinho on loan from AS Roma until the end of the season with an option to make the move permanent, the Spanish club said on Thursday.
The 30-year-old, who will have a medical on Friday, played in La Liga for two seasons with Real Madrid between 2005 and 2007 before moving to Roma. He spent last year on loan with Sao Paulo.
Cicinho comes in to cover for right back Angel Lopez who has just been ruled out for the rest of the season with torn knee ligaments.

Unless Cicinho has learnt how to defend rather than bombing forward like a headless chicken, I would argue that he's not a decent replacement.

But that's basically what Villarreal's full backs are expected to doTM wrote:Unless Cicinho has learnt how to defend rather than bombing forward like a headless chicken, I would argue that he's not a decent replacement.

Instead of learning how to defend, Cicinho has also forgotten how to atttack... he has become a useless player, Roma would be happy to see the back of him... If Villareal were so desperate to buy a bench heating device, they could have got one from ASDA for £2.99 post VATTM wrote:Unless Cicinho has learnt how to defend rather than bombing forward like a headless chicken, I would argue that he's not a decent replacement.

The deal isn't done yet but Marca say it's close.
Also, apparently Malaga have signed Buonanotte for next year and Diarra could also sign today!

Typical Atleti signing. He's had his first good season in years and they sign him off the back of that.

Espanyol's president came out and said there hasn't been a formal offer yet although lots of enquiries including a big Italian club (SPORT thinks it is Juve) and others beside Napoli as well. My guess is he will stay until summer and then be sold.
