Granero x Di Maria
Good sub, Angelito has run himself into the ground, Granero can help us keep the ball and see this game out.

Benzema is no more a choker than all the clowns who failed these past 7 years. He's French. That's an added bonus.

I've been as critical as anyone of Benzema and it was deserved. But also deserved is praise for his performance not just tonight but in the past two months or so. I don't know who or what is the catalyst but he has looked a completely different player. Talent is one thing but attitude is another altogether.

Ozil just oozes class, and he wasn´t even brilliant tonight. European top clubs must be kicking themselves for not doing much to sign him when he was available for peanuts.
Cris used to be a quality defender(very underrated in his pime), but he looks way past it judging from his permance tonight.
Benzema
Pepe is a retard.

Confidence.
An out of form player always looks lazy and disinterested in the eyes of fans.

That's not true. Higuain could not score to save his life when he first came to Madrid but he always worked hard for the team, he always ran, always pressured. Benzema did none of this until February. Personally I think it was the arrival of Adebayor, who to be fair has been sh!t, but I think it was clear that Mourinho was not going to keep putting him in the XI unless he got his act together.

Re: CL Round of 16: Madrid vs The Lions
I was fearing the worst until that second goal. We finally got that little bit of luck that we've been lacking in a while due to those two defensive howlers, but Iker barely had anything to do all night so the result was more than deserved.
As I feared, Pepe nearly managed to ruin the night for us again. When he feels like it he's one of the best CBs in the world without a doubt, but then he has moments that make him look like one of those brainwashed kids from a Clockwork Orange and goes completely insane. He's lucky the ref didn't spot when he kicked Lisandro in the ribs when the match was still 1-0, and in the end he nearly put his foot in Gomis' mouth
Fair play to Ramos though, he was very solid tonight. Best performance I've seen from him in a while, and he was also smart enough to let Marcelo do most of the attacking.
Marcelo shows yet again that he's destined to be on of the world's best LBs for many years to come. To think that so many people wanted the likes of Clichy to replace him
We're also lucky that besides Barcelona every team looks vulnerable to some degree from the ones that are left. The CL is wide open to go very far.

Not saying he hasnt had a few good games. I just find TS laughable. Discounting months and months of shite in which he didnt even dare comment on him or if he did he'd come out with nonsense like "its what he does when he's not scoring"..which was always nothing. Only to jump back on the bandwagon when he puts in a few good performances, against mostly shit teams, and goals in Europe. The very thing he uses to slag off players at his very own club. Sickening to be honest.
