Up Division One they go.
When they win the cup,
This is what we'll sing
'He's a Geordie,
Super Geordie,
Lee Clark is our King!'

That said, I don't think Fabregas even stuttered in his run-up today - I think he stopped moving forward twice, procrastinating, all but begging the Huddersfield goalkeeper to his knees before daring to kick the ball.

Gotta be close to double figures
I was only commenting on this FA cup game. But in theory I do believe that ManU should have been equally fined for that match. The double standards are quite disgraceful.S4P wrote:shazlx wrote:I think the PL have rules stating that you have to play the strongest team whereas the FA cup doesn't. It makes sense in that if you play a weak team in the league you're effecting the whole league whereas in the cup its just your own club.christmasborocooper wrote:So will United get fined? Or does it only count in league games?
They made 10 changes for a final day of the season match against relegation battlers Hull. That has a bigger impact on the league than anything McCarthy/Holloway has done.
Stuttering a penalty run should not be allowed and should be retaken. It is cowardice and poor technique.Bashmachkin wrote:I think that penalty takers should be obliged to simply run and kick the ball - I don't think any stuttering should be allowed, because it is bad to watch and contrary to good sportsmanship. Arsenal had a player sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity so why shouldn't the opposition. Its right that the captain should point out this inconsistency to the referee, its not like Arsenal had multiple player shouting down the referee.debaser wrote:Bashmachkin wrote:I think that penalty takers should be obliged to simply run and kick the ball - I don't think any stuttering should be allowed, because it is bad to watch and contrary to good sportsmanship. Also he was so scared of facing Huddersfield for the last 5 mins with their full complement of players he had to try and get them sent off by complaining and diving. Cowardly little turd.

It was not a goal-scoring opportunity in the Arsenal case because the player attempting to get to the ball was Nicklas Bendtner
