Valencia - Schalke Empty Valencia - Schalke

Post by Kroos Wed Feb 16, 2011 10:39 am

was a really good game, both teams showed that they have respect for each other

i was really impressed with schalkes performance, it seems magath has built a great CUP team

a little disappointed from valencia, they tried often long balls, and were not really dangerous in front of the goal, there first goal came really from nowhere

though they had more possession, but thats all, for a hometeam it was not enough, as fan i would have been disappointed

the draw is a fair result, i knew spanish sides always "easier" to play for german teams

magath played matip (19 years old) and was pretty solid (the new signing annan is cuup tied!!) and i thought the rakitic loos would be a disaster for schalke, though they surely cant replace him for 100 %, hes a quality player

i dont watch barca games, they are kinda boring for me, only watched the clasico

but the stats impressive, though i will never be a fan from messi, he always failed in big games and needs the perfect team thats supports him

    You are mental.

You're unimpressed with Rooney for not scoring enough goals.

You're unimpressed with Messi, although scoring lots of goals, because he "doesn't do it in big games" (like scoring in the CL final, El Classico) and needs team around him.

    Mental.

I believe your criteria works something like this:

    Question 1: Is he German?

If yes see answer 1. If no, see answer 2.
    Answer 1: HUMILIATION! DOMINATION! Wunderkid
    Answer 2: Meh. Hype

it all depends on the hype players get

the rooney hype was just insane and never understandable to me

messi has it, to be a real all time great like (ronaldo, zidane, maradona) but he is utter shit for his country, never has something done against the biggest enemys for the cl trophy for years (chelsea, inter)

and barca has no big game in laliga, because all teams including real madrid a league below

Don't you think a 23 year old who has scored 37 goals and is not even a striker, who has won everything bar a World Cup, who has scored in a CL final, who is revered by other players the World over as the best player in the game, might deserve the hype, even if they're not German?

heee hes not a striker, though havent watched the games, but i follow the lineups and there he is always a centre forward

i agree, hes the best footballer, but put him in another team like chelsea or inter and his assist and goal ratio will drop, just look at ETO

what about mario gomez, he scored 27 goals for a club which was half of the season in a crisis Very Happy

Yes but that is all European games(CL+Europa League/Uefa Cup). If it is strictly Cl then Raul wins it clearly because all of Raul's goals have come in CL whereas Inzaghi has 46 in Cl alone. Nonetheless it is great for him to have the overall record because everybody else on the top 10 list are no longer playing in Europe(Del Piero being the exception).

    cheers cheers cheers

WHAT a CRACKER of a GAME

    cheers

    Schalke TROUNCE Valencia 3:1

    MAGATH ist ein FUSSBALLGOTT

    lol!

apparently, his FATE had already been sealed BEFORE the game

the rumours are probably true after all; they broke in WAZ and a Schalke supervisory board member is a board member at WAZ

I want those clowns in the supervisory board to SACK MAGATH NOW

and they might as well LEAVE the COUNTRY and RUN for their LIFE

    cheers

I have ALWAYS BACKED Schalke to do WELL in the CL

    ALWAYS

NOW, my initial prediction that Schalke would WIN the CL outright , IF they got past Valencia

    WILL APPLY

(as long as Magath remains in charge)

    Laugh

so feel free to CONGRATULATE Schalke for WINNING European's BIGGEST PRIZE

    it's ALL FINISHED

    Ale cheers

Well, it's still a few matches away. But I can see it happen. I knew they would go past Valencia.

But now with Dortmund doing so well, the only thing Schalke can do not to get humiliated is winning the CL and give a massive Salute to Dortmund!

BTW Otto...van Bommel to return to Munich in the summer, you heard it here first!

2011 will be similar to 1997

when Dortmund won the CL and Schalke the UEFA Pokal

THIS year Dortmund will win the BUNDESLIGA and Schalke will win the DOPPEL (CL + DFB Pokal)

    as for von Bommel:

well, it all depends on who will be in charge at Bayern next season

they have Schweini, Gustavo, Kroos, Ottl, Tymo... in that position already and rumour has it that they are chasing the EXCELLENT Vidal as well

I think, fey, von Bommel's days at Bayern are GONE

Yeah, that was really harsh for Schalke in 1997. Finally they win something, then Dormund wins the CL.

But now they can return the favour Smile Schalke have great supporters, who deserve a trophy.

With all the people and money in the Ruhr-area you would expect more results like this. So far it's a poor man's Randstad! Biggrin

As for van Bommel, no it was on the news here. But van Gaal needs to leave first of course.

since Schalke will now win the CUP, you do NOT want to meet them in the next round

    wahre G

but Schalke vs Spurs in the Final would do nicely

I have a hunch that Schalke will play either Bayern or Real in the next round

    neuer is a ROCK

i never feel any kind of fear when a cross or shot is coming to NEUER, this guy has such a great radiance, surley his huge body is helpful too Wink

i am utterly impressed how schalke plays in cup competitions, Peer kluge is a beast, stupid decision to let van bommel go, bayern need such a player desperatly

i really hope this magath stuff is just media shit, he can create a huge team, next year with holtby he gets an brilliant passer, with jurado, draxler, farfan, raul, huntellar thats really good

also the spanish leftback and the other new guy tonight performed great, so much for magaths failed transfer policy
