Best team in the world - Centre Mids

4 votes each, you know how it works by now.

Again, I've included a few players who clearly aren't centre mids like VDV because I don't know where else to include them. If someone like he wins perhaps I'll play a diamond formation. Also again for the likes of Murray I'll stress I don't neccessarily rate any player that's included. I'm sure people will go 'Gerrard!? He's well past it.' If you feel that's the case then simply don't vote for him.

Again I'll also say 20 options just wasn't enough (anyway you can extend that mods?) so here's some more you may wish to vote for - if so just post their names.

Nigel De Jong

Mark Van Bommel

Marek Hamsik

Sami Khedira

Jack Wilshere (very premature but what the hell)

Xavi, Iniesta, (obvious winners), VDV, Toure

Others I rate highly and who would be picked if this wasn't a mish-mash of attacking and defensive players: Busquets, Mascherano, Fabregas, Xabi Alonso.


Why are ex-footballers like Kaka in the list

Attacking midfielders: Xavi, Iniesta
Defensive midfielders: Essien, Cambiasso

Xavi,Iniesta,Yaya,Busquets

schweinsteiger, kedhira, kroos, ballack

20 options would be enough if you got rid of the numpties.

I voted for Xavi, Iniesta, Pigclimber, and Scholes, and i don't care if anyone disagree's. Obviously old man Scholes is the contentious one there, but he still plays some ridiculous passes that not many can pull off.

Oh and Raul Meireles just misses out. Seriously though, Modric just misses out, oh look at me and my anti-Spurs agenda.

Theough players like Cambiasso and Essien do not stand a chance in a poll like this, everyone is just going to vote for the creative midfielders.

The only reason Essien 'doesn't stand a chance' is because his performances haven't been great for a long time now. He has previously been a shoo-in for this type of thing on here.

Look at the top 5 or 6 votes, all creative/attacking midfielders. Even Kaka got 3 votes!

Out of interest what is Raul Meireles doing there? He's not even the best Portuguese CM.

Banega, Sahin, Borja, Pirlo, Montolivo, Hernanes (and numerous others) are much better players.

Yeah Sahin should be in here, he is the best cm this season imo.

But from the list I would go for

Gerrard, Xavi, Meireles and Mascherano.
