VDV scores. Casual defending again, no surprise.

    1-0

Van der Vaart. Ball played to the unmarked Defoe, who passed to the unmarked Adebayor, who chipped the ball to the unmarked van der Vaart. He brought it down on his arm before finishing well.

Good handball there to control the ball and then slot it home.

    1-0 HT

I don't think Spurs really deserve their lead, but Arsenal's defence is as pathetic as ever. If Spurs started to control more of the game in midfield I'm sure they would be able to carve out chances with ease. The tubby little bastard has certainly had a fair bit of good luck as well. Already on a booking, and he got away with controlling the ball on his arm for the goal and then ran into the crowd to celebrate. It's not a booking I like to see given, but a more fastidious referee could easily have shown a second yellow there.

Arsenal playing reasonably well compared to the dismal standards they have set this season, but I think Spurs are the more likely team to score as this match progresses.

I know that pundits usually favour one side over the other, but there's a point of subjectivity where you just sound ridiculous. Definitely not a hand-ball, definitely not going into the crowd, definitely not a first booking(!).

Time to see if Arsenal have any fortitude. I suspect not, but hopefully I can be pleasantly surprised.

Ramsey scores from close range! Spurs completely switched off there. They struggled to clear their lines and a good low cross from Song was turned into the roof of the net at the near post.

Awesome save from Szczesny to prevent Adebayor scoring. He evaded our offside trap with ease. Haven't seen a replay to see if its poor officiating or poor defending to offer up the chance.

Sagna off injured. A nasty clash and fall, and he signalled immediately that he needed to come off. Typical. Our one reliable defender joins the long list of injured cases at the club. Stretchered off down the tunnel. Hopefully it won't be a bad injury, but those images and the immediacy of his reaction in clutching at his ankle suggest he might have done quite a lot of damage.

    2-1

Walker catches Szczesny by surprise with a long range shot. Really poor goalkeeping and equally poor defending leading up to the goal. Typical Arsenal yet again.

Bale misses a great chance to seal the win. A long ball that Arsenal failed to deal with. This is such a poor team. They are just incapable of the most basic aspects of footballing organisation. They don't mark, they don't track runs, they seem incapable of simple defending. It's not as if they are incapable of playing decent football, but they make so many terrible errors in every single match that they make it very difficult to get results.

If we win this, Redknapp can thank arsenals defensive frailty and a wonder goal. Tactically got it very wrong playing 4-4-2 with VDV on the right. Modric and Parket have been dominated by Arsenals 3 men in the centre.
