I don't think anyone with a brain has ever regarded Terry as a complete all round defender. He is great in the air and as an English style recovery defender he is one of the best, alongside Carragher and Tomkins. It's easy to disparage him because he is such a terrible terrible c**t, but he's still a player you'd want in your team.

Tomkins is very different to those 2 - very classy player.

Huntelaar has something like more goals than games in all comps and his supply comes from Peruvians and shit.

    doesn't Huntelaar play for Schalke?

I'm sure if Pavlyuchenko dropped down a few divisions too he would up his ratio too.

No one else watching Spurs tearing QPR a new one?

2-0 halftime, although could have been 5 or 6 by now Martin.

If we can continue into the second half we should be able to leapfrog the Invincibles into 4th,

    3 goals required though.

Sometimes I go to the BBC "Live football" section to laugh my ass off. For example today, someone wrote "Parker pulling the strings" lol! or some ridiculous shite like that. Parker is unable to fucking dribble the ball and there's someone saying he's "pulling the strings" lol!

He must have confused him with Modric. Biggrin <Ale>

Parker has been absolutely brilliant. Wins the ball, gives it to a team mate. Wins it, gives it to a team mate.
Has not lost possession once. He's not going a creative player, but probably THE most important player in the team. He allows Modric, Bale, Lennon and VDV push forward and do their thing.

It's no coincidence since signing him (and Adebayor) we're unbeaten and won every game except one draw away to Newcastle.

Kenny pulls a patented "Joe Hart" leaving a rebound right in front of the goal mouth lol! however unlike Joe Hart, Kenny is quick to his feet and ready for the ensuing shot on goal to make a very good save.

On the other side of the pitch, Friedel does what any goalie should do and pushes a shot to his left for his defender to get to it first. Football is such elemental sometimes, it's hard to comprehend the hype about Joe Hart! Biggrin <Ale>

    Friedel is quality. USA USA!

Hart is still young. Is he more hyped than De Gea was when he came to England? No. But both clearly talented keepers.

    FT 3-1.

Not leapfrogging the Invincibles, but thats 6th win in 7.

    Lovely.

Both Newcastle and Spurs can now go above Chelsea if they win their games in hand.

    Premier League. I love it

We never beat Stoke, tomorrow won't be pretty, we can't handle their aerial game.

Team spirit at Newcastle is as good as any side I've seen this season. I can see you drawing or nicking it.

Winning these kinds of games can almost be more satisfying then the free flowing ones. Blackburn did the same to us last week and we edged a win under an aerial assault. Those are the games you have to win as opposed to rely on beating the Mancs and Chelsea are Arse etc.

Incidentally, speaking of PGD: how site has Taarabt been this season? Has no stomach for the intensity of the step up do far. Garbage today under pressure. We were right to get rid

We do, but Stoke is just one of those teams. Last season we lost 2-1 to them and they only had 1 shot on target. So far though we are seeing a different Newcastle side than we have seen since Bobby Robson, not just in terms of spirit, but on paper the first XI is as good as it has been since then, so maybe things will be different.

If we do win it would be refreshing, and we would obviously have passed our first test of the season, until our next first test against Everton on saturday. Biggrin <Ale>

Watched it a few times now and it just looks better each time: would be great to get a gif of it, but this link'll have to do for the heathens who have yet to witness it's beauty:

    http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/gareth-bale-%282%29-qpr-15625945/

The speed and precision "tikki takka" of the move: fans of Barcelona might just appreciate it.

Of course it was QPR and not Man City, but pleasing to see us playing the kind of entertaining football we were doing regularly last season with Lennon and Bale on top form. First time in a while I've seen both play so well, so it bodes well for the coming games, particularly the Chelsea one.

Impressive indeed. That extra last pass to Bale, and the hit first time, were very good. I didn't expect one more pass in such a tight space, and didn't expect a first touch shot. Hallmark of players with superb technical ability (although Lennon doesn't always show it).

Sure, but how often do smaller clubs park the bus and then the challenge is to have to break them down with little space and a packed defence in the final third? That clip shows how many players QPR had in their penalty area. Not hyping it as the greatestest most importantest goal ever, but I'd suggest that even though it was against QPR, that was a harder goal to score in the final 3rd of that situation than 5 of Man City's at Old Trafford last week where City caught an attacking 10 man United on the break and each was pretty much a single pass to release a one on one situation with the keeper. Silva pass for the 6th was undeniably lovely though
