We created 4/5 really good chances in the 1st half. Not just half chances but real chances. Really bad finishing. If they were goals the goal VP scored would still have been the most difficult finish. Partly because it was an amazing finish!

Second half were were less energetic and creative.

Oh shut up Dimmy Very Happy losing 4-2 to Norwich IS a massive surprise. You have a far superior team on paper. I doubt anyone thought that you would lose and lose that comprehensively.

Where are those two wannabe Geordie Euro fucks Fade out and Fey hey?! Where are they! Basketball bounce Laughing

scratch Danny Simpson and James Perch at CB 0trick, both under 6', Simpson being a midget, against a Norwich side that is strong in the air. Kadar should've played though, Pardew fucked up there.

You weren't playing Man City's forward line - fat Lower League journeymen Grant Holt and Steve Morrison. Don't tell me it's no surprise
Are you being serious? Newcastle have a shit defense right now. Worse than Arsenal's if you take away Sagna - Verm - Kos - Santos. lus without their main Dm. You woulnd't be suprised if Arsenal had conceded to Norwich if our defence was in a similar situation.

relegation form for Newcastle, 1 point from their last 4 (dodgy penalty vs Man Utd to thank for their solitary draw amongst the defeats)

If this form continues they'll only get another 6 points this season, which would surely see them go down.

Desperately need for Marveaux to agree personal terms.

The fact that we lost to Norwich isn't a surprise for me: I don't think we've especially rode our luck this season, and prior to today's game I think Manchester City were the only side to really better us, but our good results depended on a group of first choice players being fit and on us making the most of our attacking chances. Even with everyone fit, our first eleven has apparent weaknesses: our full-backs and Obertan aren't worth places in a Premiership side; and I suppose there's maybe a point that we haven't found an entirely coherent front two yet, swapping between Ba plus Ben Arfa, Best or Ameobi. Whereas Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Guthrie and Tiote have been amongst the best players in their respective positions in the league this season, we simply don't have replacements for them, and the players we are having to shoehorn into the side in their stead (two poor full-backs in Simpson and Perch and the woeful Dan Gosling, who isn't a central midfielder but then thus far he doesn't appear to be much of anything) are completely inadequate.

    Guthrie? Do you mean Cabage?

Why do Newcastle only have 2 centre backs? Is it because Tony Pulis is hoarding the others?

Swansea City at home next week will be an entirely different kettle of water, their tallest player (Nathan Dyer) is 5ft 5.

I'd like to ask if you're having a laugh here?

Norwich are 9th and have managed some decent results this season and scored a few goals. Newcastle lined up today with pretty much a completely changed defence including at least 2 defenders who must be in contention for "worst defenders in the league"..I wouldnt have said it was a huge surprise for Newcastle to lose today.

Spurs fans say they wont win without King for fucks sake..

Stoke take the lead through Etherington. They've been the better team and Spurs have looked vulnerable to the balls launched repeatedly into their box. Crouch did well to set up the chance.

Not sure what to make of that half.

On the one hand, very disappointing how we defended for their two typically up and under goals (God I hate Stoke),

on the other, I can't help but think the referee has been a feckin' disgrace - Peter Crouch's handball for the first, countless 50/50 calls going their way, happy for players to pull shirts and push markers at set pieces and corners, Parker pushed over at our corner.

This referee appears to absolutely advocate the up and under style. I don't see us coming back from this now.

No way was that a handball. There's been far worse and blatant handballs this weekend like Newcastle's yesterday. Spurs just don't know how to play against decent defences and teams that will shut them out.

We're about to lose our first game in 11 matches and you're making these kind of statements. Joker Laughing

Everyone knows Stoke is a tough place to go. They've aerially bombarded us for 45 minutes with their 7 foot tall front line and we haven't coped. Won't be the first or last side to fail that particular test.

Hoping for better in the second half, and some refereeing leniency because there is no doubt this one has been a homer, handball or not
