typical Suarez, acts a c**t, hits the post, has a stonewall penalty turned down (because he's a c**t) and eventually scores.

Well I guess we're nearly safe now, with all the teams below losing. Only some monumentally shit finishing from Liverpool kept us in the match - they should be utterly embarrassed to only score 1 against such an awful side.

1 win in 10 for McLeish. Fuck the fuck off already.

Spurs need to win every one of their games now to have even the slightest chance of winning the title.

Two of the best forwards in the league, a great midfield and goalkeeper, can you keep the two center-backs fit, and what are your wing-back options? With some investiment, there's surely a great chance of pushing even higher next campaign? Be great to see Newcastle back in the Champions League,

Our fullbacks suck, apart from Santon who is in and out of the team, he is getting better though and was very good yesterday. Our 2 CBs are good, Colo is awesome, but Steven Taylor is always injured and has been out most of this season. It is incredible we have done so well with Simpson and Williamson playing so much.

We have been linked with some good players, Douglas and Mbiwa for CB, and Pieters is looking likely for LB. We tried to sign him in the summer and he openly roots for us on twitter. Apparently he is nothing special though, but he is athletic and young, so maybe he will do well here. These players would give us pace though which is the main thing our defence lacks.

Ba and Tiote have rumours around them, they could leave, they might not.

The team could look like this, but probably won't as these sort of predictions are always wrong.

I think it'll be difficult for you to climb higher up the table without strengthening the squad as well, even if you can bring in some better first team defenders. With the additional games in Europe and also teams concentrating more on nullifying your threats and having more opportunity to review and counteract your style of play next season it will be tough. Still, you've done a great job this season, your recruiting has been superb recently, and you have genuinely excellent players in key positions, so it's not the same as a team riding the crest of a wave but with reasonably average players.

Being a Liverpool fan at the moment is akin to being a Catholic, a burden we bare and pay lip service to.

The weekly procession of obligation, the false idols which our fans are no longer even sure they believe in, the hope of salvation but inevitable damnation and a pedestal it probably doesn't deserve, yet it's something some of our fans can't let go of.

It's archaic and others can see what we can not because most of us(not me) are blinded by faith and they are not.

I'm a Jew and I am not enjoying watching Liverpool at the minute.

I was at the game today; I went in to the game knowing it would be shit but what I saw out-shitted my shitty expectations. I really thought we were going to become officially the second worst team in the league for a long time after Villa scored (Wolves are the worst team in the league, then Villa then Liverpool) but thankfully we decided we didn't want to lose another game with about 10 minutes to go.

The only players I can credit today are Skrtel (like most weeks), Agger when he came on and Henderson for some nice long range balls despite his shooting being dire.

Enrique has looked out of sorts for a while now; overall had a good first season at the club but been a bit overhyped by some of our fans IMO - a full back is meant to defend and get a few assists as well, I doubt Enrique has got many if any.

Carragher is quite frankly an emblem of where this club has gone wrong over the last 3 years - his hoofing is tedious, he's getting out-paced and he's a liability now.

Kuyt was woeful, Downing anonymous, Shelvey disappointing.

We must win the FA cup because it seems as though the league season ended weeks ago so we better have something fucking special prepared in the cup.

However, Dalglish was unhappy with two penalty appeals which were turned down by Oliver and also the official's decision to later book the Uruguayan for diving.

Late in the first half Suarez went down under a challenge from Alan Hutton, who appeared to make contact, while after the break the ball hit Eric Lichaj's hand as Dirk Kuyt tried to go past him.

"I have never heard of a penalty not being given by a referee who said the boy was unlucky - what chance have we got?" said Dalglish.

"He didn't give it (the penalty) but he said to Dirk Kuyt the boy (Lichaj) was unlucky.

"I can only tell you what they were saying in the dressing room - don't ask me to justify it.

"When you consider the penalty was refused because the opponent was unlucky, it just doesn't add up.

"Dirk takes it on his chest to go past him, the guy knows he has missed it and he has (spread) his arms and he (Oliver) said he was unlucky - I think Dirk Kuyt is unlucky.

"Even Suarez's booking, the guy has trodden on him and it is a joke.

"You can imagine the headlines tomorrow - he got booked for diving and the guy (Stephen Ireland) has actually trodden on him and he is lucky he has not broken his foot. lol! lol!

"And Hutton was a bit fortunate in the first half."

The draw ended a run of three successive defeats but Dalglish suggested decisions had gone against them during that time as well.

"We have to try to do the best we possibly can in what we are trying to achieve but there are an awful lot of coincidences you can take just over the last three games in the number of decisions which have not gone our way," he said.

"We just have to make sure the football club maintains the integrity they have as a club. lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol!

"If other people have to look at themselves to see if they have integrity, that is fine.

"Maybe we have looked at it the wrong way, maybe we should shout our mouth off and complain about things. Maybe we're too polite." lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol! lol!

I don't see how Enrique is over-hyped. He had a good first half of the season and a bad 2nd half. Praise toward him has died down exponentially but he still deserves the credit he earned earlier in the season.

Henderson has been hit and miss, but if he were a 21 year old academy player he'd be overachiving. All Liverpool fans cry out for the players who should be in the team, but I've lost count of the number of the likes of Pachecco, Shelvey, Anderson, Potter who were the missing link in the team until they got on the pitch. If Henderson had been getting Pacheco-like cameos this season he would be a world beater in our minds by now.

Carragher bashing is fun, but I'll never understand the vitriol towards a player who has been such a tremendous servant.

I don't want to win the FA Cup, I want Everton to win it so that one of the Special Six get a shock when they're not in Europe next season.

Enrique never gets many assists, here he always tended to stop when he got to the final 3rd, he wouldn't try to overlap Jonas and take the fullback on, which is gay as he has the pace and strength.

I understand what you're trying to say, but the difference is that the likes of Pacheco actually have some talent that shows promise of developing into something. I don't know what Henderson is talented at.

Typically, you expect good youth footballers to outperform or at least be equivalent to their peers - Henderson was an utter joke at the U21 Euros last year. Terrible terrible performances from him in that tournament.

It has only hit me this season how similar he's to Clichy. They are both highly thought of going forward but don't really contribute that much to the attack(despite all those mazy runs and bundle of energy going forward) and are infact better defenders than attackers. Dunno why but the concept of playing one-twos, running into space, playing clever reverse passes etc totally escapes them once they reach the final 3rd, but Enrique at least puts in some decent crosses once in a while. Have to add though, Clichy could no longer defend properly in his last 2 seasons with us, looks far better for City.

Our dodgy Brazilian is a different beast going forward compared to those 2. Probably not a major cock up on Wenger's part after all.

When I compare Enrique's performances to that of Kolarov or Baines for example then for me, he's still capable of doing so much more than he does. Even Riise did more than him yesterday for Fulham.

Not saying he's not a good signing for us because for the money we paid he's done really well in a struggling side but I want to see him put in better deliveries and certainly stop trying to be too sexy when in possession of the ball close to our own penalty area.

    @Glenn

Carragher was one of our all time best defenders, from 04-09 he was top class but he's inevitably regressed, was lucky not to give away a foul and get a red card at times for shirt pulling that he gets away with because he's Carragher. Agbonlahor was brushing past him with ease at times. I'd honestly rather see Coates get a run when Agger is out, fuck this experience shite, we're conceding goals with ease to the likes of Wigan and Villa at home.

Having said all this, the 3 key problems as I see it are:

    1) Our lack of attacking intent until we go a goal down or too late on in the game

    2) Our spineless, uncreative midfield.

    3) Still no set formation, chopping and changing and Kenny's signings were not good enough.

The goal you conceded yesterday was more down to the keeper flapping at the original cross and no midfielder tracking Herd, rather than the defence. Wasn't like we had many other chances in the match..
