Bookies take bets on 'negativity'? scratch

Normally you make a bet on a team winning - say you think that Man City have no chance and Man Utd are guaranteed a ref-supported win, as you've indicated above - you'll put a bet on Man Utd to win. Then, if they do, you win money. If not, you lose. You seem to have found the only bookies in the world that pay out when you frequently make a wrong prediction, and nonsensical reasonings aren't usually a legitimate reason for paying out either.

Zabaleta over Richards (one of the best players in the 6-1) was a mistake for me and perhaps bad news for Richards' City future.

    Obviously doesn't trust him.

    Rooney was absolutely dreadful.

Aguero is a player for a CL team but not for a top, top team.

They'd better not fuck it up from here.

I am not sure how fit was Richards, but for me not playing him from the start was the same as not using balotelli from the bench - they can't be trusted with their decisions for 90 mins. And Zabaleta was great today.

0 attempts on target, how rare for Man Utd. They looked like they were set up for a containment job and didn't appear capable of moving out of that mindset after going behind. I really thought they'd offer more of a threat down both flanks.

    ok
It is especially surprising given that Ferguson had a halftime to adjust his team and yet they just kept on going with essentially the same mindset and no real drive of trying to get back in it.

Great result for City. Amazing to think that the league is back in their hands now.

Ferguson deserves it. Play a cowardly starting lineup, and you deserve this result. Who would have thought that out of him and Mancini, it's the latter who would be more positive in a big game (though I guess he had to go for it and they had nothing to lose).

Both managers and teams have tried their best to outdo each other in the choking stakes this season. I guess it's a sign of the relatively poor quality of both teams.

Congratulations, Goater. The better team won yesterday.

I am a bit surprised by SAF. The defensive set up was understandable - SAF does that in big away games when a draw suits him, specially in Europe... but after they went down by a goal, I thought he would switch on the attack.

Anyways, if City can now win at Newcastle, the title is theirs. Simple as that.

You can set up defensively but still have a threat going forward. Am I right in thinking that United didn't have a shot on target last night?

Rooney was isolated for long periods before Welbeck's introduction and even then, there was a lack of punch upfront.

Valencia should've definitely started yesterday and it was a major surprise to see him on the bench. As Kas said though, United deserved to lose for their negative line-up and negative approach to the game.
