Le Tissier is such a biased gimp. He thinks an overhead kick is dangerous play because of a high foot. Nonce.

Re: Premier League 20/21 October 2012
why would Sky get someone so notoriously pro Sunderland as Le Tissier for this game?

Why would he be biased against Newcastle?? He didn't used to play for Sunderland did he? Or does he think they're Southampton because of the red and white stripes?
Try listening to Ex Arsenal greyheads like Alan Smith commentating on Spurs games

Re: Premier League 20/21 October 2012
Le Tissier has always had a bee in his bonnet about Newcastle, don't ask me why. I've posted about his nonsense before.
I don't understand why Tiote was wrong to challenge for the ball when the whistle had already gone but Fletcher was right to.
Also we have to listen to Niall Quinn's opinion on the game.

That's interesting. Because Matt Le Tissier picked 2 Newcastle players in his team of the year last season, only team that he picked more players from were Man City, and he picked no Man United players

Strange for someone so anti-Newcastle....

Re: Premier League 20/21 October 2012
What an infuriating first half. As much as football players are criticised for lacking discipline professionally and in their personal lives, I think it is commendable how few referees are assaulted on the pitch, because it would have been appropriate to throttle Martin Atkinson, or to throw a forearm into his nose, at various points during that first half, but particularly after the sending off. I thought Tiote barely warranted a yellow card - he was being pulled back and idly raised his foot, with no great force and with no great malice. I don't think it was nasty or dangerous play - it was a minor kick just below the knee - people suffer worse whenever they bang their legs against their coffee tables. There is no correlation between genuinely dangerous or violent fouls and football's punishments; instead we have arbitrary rules or ideas (the idea that any raised foot is malicious, dangerous and deserving of a red card) which hold sway and which referees too eagerly enforce.
Elsewhere we had balls clearly going out of play yet Sunderland being allowed to continue their attacks; and an instance of 'advantage' where Johnson was allowed to play a dangerous ball across goal, and only when we cleared it was the play called back for an earlier free-kick for Sunderland - they were given both an advantage and then, when they didn't score from it, another chance from a free-kick.
Matt Le Tissier was a very good player, but I don't think he was as good as a player as he is bad as a commentator. All of his great goals together don't equal in time or in pleasure what his first 45-minutes of commentary amounted to in frustration and stupidity.

I can't understand taking off Coloccini. I'd be inclined to put Anita on for Cabaye.

Not sure if having Coloccini on the pitch would have made a difference, but definitely raises questions.

Re: Premier League 20/21 October 2012
Weird game.
Larsson doing a De Jong special on Ameobi, kicking him in the chest, ref was ok with it
Tiote wrongfully sent off
Penalty for handball not given
That bizarre advantage AND freekick business, which Le Tisser thought was good refereeing
And in the end we gave them a goal after they could create nothing
Artie Ziff got away with it big time today. In a way it was probably our best performance of the season so far, if it wasn't for some strange decisions it would have been a comfortable win, 3 or 4 nil I think.

Don't get the big deal with this kick it out t shirt business. Why are the likes of Fergie getting involved and questioning the players decisions to not wear them?

Re: Premier League 20/21 October 2012
The goal was unfortunate, but I didn't think the late substitutions helped us at all - Coloccini seemed well enough to continue playing, whilst Obertan is less disciplined than Ben Arfa and doesn't provide us with any sort of outlet. On the other hand, we came close to holding on and Perch did have a good game after coming on in the first half. Sunderland obviously didn't deserve anything out of the game, and didn't look like getting a winner after they equalised, despite the ridiculous claims of their players and the Sky commentators. Ba could have had a penalty prior to the equaliser - he was pushed when through on goal - Atkinson would have allowed Sunderland the shooting opportunity, then would have called the game back, given them a penalty, sent off our player, and booked a few for any subsequent protests. It is frustrating that there isn't a way to take out one's frustrations on the referee and Sky for two terrible performances.

QPR have gone to pieces in a couple of minutes. Distin (or a Julio Cesar og) equalised with a header whilst completely unmarked. Everton should have had a penalty immediately after the goal, and then from the resulting corner Jagielka hit the bar.

I was expecting Anichebe to play in Fellaini role and Mirallas as right winger. Here Comes Glenny Boo Boo wrote:is it normal for Anichebe to play on the right or did Moyes lose a bet?
But "Big Vic" was quite aften used outwide in the past. I was always curious how he will do there with Coleman as RB, as they were looking excellent playing together during summer 2011. U&nfortunately because of Moyes love for Hibbert and Neville they never got a chance to play together in Premier League.
