Suarez out vs West Ham next week so I imagine Shelvey will lead the line.
could be the difference between 8th and 9th come May

Indeed; Villa on the other hand will be scrapping for survival once more with a team definitely not championship level (+Benteke)

He's been at it for months though. MOTD pundits and commentators seem to think he's entitled to go over and laugh it off.

It caught up with Young soon enough last season. Fans already don't like Bale. I've even read Spurs fans slagging him off. It'll come round.

You STILL don't get it do you?
Bale is at worst as bad as Ashley Young. Bale has also had his ankle broken twice through cynical fouling in the past which proliferated this whole thing.
Suarez on the otherhand has more history than simply diving.
Has Bale ever bitten an opponent?
Has Bale ever been cautioned for racially abusing an opponent?
Has Bale openly handballed on the World Cup stage, thus knocking out the 'host' team?
I'd suggest these are the additional reason why Suarez gets more abuse than Bale. Just as John Terry gets more abuse than, say, Steve Gerrard.
Incidentally, I see Suarez tried sneakily handling the ball into the net tonight too. Lineker and co. hardly mentioned it. Must have been disappointing for you, no opportunity to be further indignant about Suarez being unfairly picked on.

Gerrard is infinitely worse than Terry. Generally being an obnoxious, preening dickhead is one thing, premeditated assault another. Horrible, hypocritical, snivelling, nasty piece of work.
Terry is closer to Suarez in that the latter is essentially a pantomime villain. Diving, histrionic, rather twattish behaviour, but in some ways rather entertaining, love-to-hate kind of stuff. For the same reason I wouldn't go over the top with Ashley Cole. Name-calling is not racism and what Suarez did at the World Cup was, quite frankly, fantastic stuff.
Not going to take sides with the comparisons with your outstanding player but him increasingly coming across as a diving, self-important primadonna and tosser suggests these comparisons are more than legitimate. No one is likening him to Gerrard or Keane for feck's sake

Re: Premier League 1/2/3 December 2012
Don't want to comment too much on the Gerrard issue as I don't really know what the FACTS were with regards to his off the field one off fracas in a night club.
On the pitch though he generally plays by the rules. Occasional diving, occasional bad tackle sure - but nothing as cuntish as Terry blowing his nose on Tevez, or kneeing Sanchez in the back, or abusing Ferdinand regarding his skin colour.
Regarding Suarez:
Suarez BIT an opponent during a game in Holland. He BIT someone. Was this also, quite frankly, fantastic stuff?
I'm not having that Bale is worthy of similar contempt for merely having a reputation as a diver AFTER his ankle was broken twice by over exuberant fouls.
He's also been booked twice now for apparent dives when he's been legitimately fouled, I'd say he's receiving his retribution. I appreciate that Arsenal fans won't be satisfied with this and by default want him lynched for his crimes of falling over and being all self important and stuff (God knows they've never had to endure their own #legends indulging in that kind of chicanery),
but he's not in Terry/Suarez/Keane level of cuntdom yet. I'll agree he deserves to be once he's indulged in a bit of racially charged "name calling" or preferably assaulted someone either on or off the pitch

In suarez's defence, biting someone means something different in uruguay, so it was a cultural misunderstanding.

Some DJ wasn't playing the music Stevie and his mates wanted, so Stevie and 2 of his friend went over and cornered the guy. One of them hit him, so Stevie and the other one piled in. Stevie got off on "self-defence", even though it was 3 on 1, and the 1 never threw a punch, let alone the first punch. The other 2 pleaded guilty, as they were clearly guilty. It was an embarrassment to the justice system and exposed Gerrard as a classless charver, the result would have been different if it had taken place outside of Liverpool.
