I think Kyle Walker was often referred to as the new Glen Johnson and that seems entirely accurate.

Both crappy at defending Walker was showing more promise a while back he is still 22 and could improve.

You know when you first played FIFA or PES, and you were trying to work out how to take freekicks? That's what it looks like when Demba Ba takes them.

All this hype not to long ago
He's had no competition at right back since he broke into the first team beginning of last season and Corluka was sold.
he's played more games than any other player in our squad since then. At 21/22.
The kid needs a break. And hopefully when BAE is back and Naughton developing well, he will have that time.
Just like Raheem Sterling, you can't expect to run these youngsters every game without rotation and expect them to maintain form when they are ones who are pacey and naively run themselves into the ground.
And speaking of hype, there were Liverpool fans on here declaring Martin Kelly was the best young right back in the league not so long ago. Just sayin

Why do you have to compare Walker to a Liverpool player? Can't you just respond without pettiness? Martin Kelly has been shit over the last few months though being out injured and all, I'll give you that.

What a load of utter shite games this week. But, it's nice to see Rekik in the starting line-up for City. Weird that from all the NBKK's Ebicillio at Arsenal never gets a chance, the club that is so famous for giving young players a chance.

Petty? Nah, just highlighting alternative similar situations that will probably resonate more with the original poster (who I presumed to be a Liverpool fan).

Well comparing Walker to Kelly is nonsense as they're two different types of full backs and Kelly has had injury problems keeping him out nearly all season.

Johnson in a 3-5-2 using 3 CB's would be a good player to have sitting more forward.

So being over-played is your reason for him being shite.
Kelly has been out and won't be back till sometime like feb next year so I don't know what your point is.

Again, I shall return you to a Liverpool example as this clearly has flown over your head again as you're referring to Walker as though he's some kind of busted flush:
It's about form. Glen Johnson was what locals would refer to as "shite" for sometime when out of form. Now he's back in form of sorts this season - people are saying he's the best right back in the league.
Walker is playing like shit at times currently, but I disagree he's shite, he's a very useful player when on form. But he needs a rest - of course overplaying a relatively novice player is not a good idea if you're looking to develop them long term.
As for Kelly, whilst Walker has been over played, he's been underplayed/injured. Neither is a particularly good way of developing. Doubt Kelly is shite personally. Both overhyped of course because they're English. It's the way it is.

Re: Premier League 22/23 December 2012
Our game wasn't much to watch - we had a lot of the possession but struggled to create and wasted various set-pieces, whilst QPR just clogged up the pitch - but Shola took his goal well, and the win feels like a really important one: given that we've been on an awful run and our next games are away at Manchester United and Arsenal, without it we'd have fallen amongst those battling relegation and would have appeared in crisis.
Marveaux ought to be starting games, certainly in the absence of Ben Arfa and Cabaye and potentially regardless; and at the moment Cisse - who I can sympathise with only to a limited degree, for I hate our owner, and don't think much of Pardew, and fully appreciate that we haven't played with any conviction or fluency and haven't created enough chances this season; but still Cisse has been consistently ineffective in front of goal, has appeared mentally weak, and his performances have increasingly lacked sufficient diligent effort - shouldn't be starting games, whether it means playing Shola, or even using Obertan down the right. Anita had another good game, and Coloccini played well.
The referee was atrocious and arrogant. QPR were fouling cynically all over the pitch yet we ended up with more players booked. Clint Hill should have been sent off on numerous occasions.

In absence of Paul Robinson (the left back - now, in a most perfect fit, playing for Birmingham City ), I think Clint Hill has really stepped up to take on the role of Shittest Player in the League.
