Remy has scored 0 goals this season, I wouldn't expect big things.

He's getting an out of form forward for £9m and over £80k per week. There's no way this will backfire.

Re: January Transfer Window
Our fans are such fucking mongs. Blaming the board for not matching QPR's wages and saying Redknapps attractive football was a factor(wut?!). Also the "London" factor is getting way overstated again, why do people think paying £2m to live in a rabbit hutch is attractive, that place has it's pros and cons. Remy wouldn't even meet these dipshits last week, now we're expected to believe he thinks QPR are attractive.

Doesn't Remy also have some sort of heart condition?
Anyway PEA overtook him as FTBWS (France's top Black winger/Striker)

Re: January Transfer Window
During Rémy's press conference, Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier revealed that during the player's physical, tests revealed that Rémy suffered from a possible heart defect. Rémy missed the team's league match against Lorient on 21 August and further tests were conducted on 23 August to determine whether the defect is career-threatening.[39][40] On 24 August, Rémy was declared fit to practice and play the sport of football at a high level by Marseille doctors and heart specialists consulted by the club.[41]

Re: January Transfer Window
It is irritating what has happened with Remy, but I don't blame our board for failing to match the wages QPR are offering him - I don't think his record suggests he is worth the money; offering one player big wages obviously has ramifications for the rest of the squad; and our board's stance when it comes to wages would be one of the few admirable things about them were their stance perhaps a bit more flexible and fair, but more to the point part of a comprehensive strategy towards us competing in the league and borne out of some moral sense, rather than being simply a means to cut costs and equivocate whilst everything else is a mess. Nor do I really blame the player, because I think there are only a handful of our squad at best who wouldn't be off to QPR this second were they able to move for the same sort of wage increase.
I would like a player a little more versatile than Remy - if we are to only sign one forward, I think we need somebody well suited to playing out wide and as a support striker. Ideally we'd sign such a player plus a striker to replace Ba as part of the first team squad. I don't doubt that there are dozens of players about who would significantly improve us, and I won't lament us losing out on Remy provided we bring at least one of them in before the end of the window.

Re: January Transfer Window
He was the next big thing about 4 years ago..and to be fair he did look genuinely very talented. But he just vanished and then kept getting mystery injuries that were keeping him out for months on end..then a picture surfaced of him looking like a fatty fatty fat fat, City fans telling us that he had an ankle problem or something. The rest of us believing he was a piss head with a probable drug problem. Any ankle problem he had was from the fatty fat fat weight pushing down on his little ankles.
He had a little loan spell at Leicester last season, got injured after 7 games and wasn't seen again until getting released by City yesterday.
Just another kid who got paid too much too soon, and just happened to be a bit dim too. Shame, as I say he did look like he had a lot of talent.

Is that Indian steel billionaire bankrolling QPR? Think he still part owns it. The way they've shuffled owners in the last few yrs seems very Portsmouth-esque.

Re: January Transfer Window
It wasn't so long ago that Redknapp was lambasting QPR for having too many players signed for unrealistically big money. So he goes and signs an injury prone striker on 75k a week, despite the imminent threat of relegation looming.
Imagine the mess that club will be in financially if they go down.
No doubt Arry would be the first to put his hands up and claim it weren't his fault guv.
So glad we are rid of him and his hypocritical, buck passing constant stream of bullshit soundbites to the media.
