Benteke is our most likely scorer, but we have scored just 1 goal in last 6 home games in the league (none in the last 4), so I wouldn't be too confident.

    28 games played for arsenal

11 goals and 11 fecking assists

i am IMPRESSED, it this now a good or a bad sign for the EPL?

overall he is on 5th position in the scorer list (goals + assists combined)

Tomorrow is a massive game for Rodgers and us. I think the cup exit was a turning point for many who were on Rodgers' back. Personally, I like Rodgers and whilst he hasn't done an excellent job, he's not doing a terrible job either. We need to be tougher against the big sides and against teams that will rough us up like Stoke and Oldham.

Hopefully he fucks Borini off for the time being and just sticks with Suarez, Sturridge and one of Downing/Sterling. Obviously Coutinho looks set to sign so he could be the 3rd forward but the understanding between Suarez and Sturridge will be key if we are to win at the Emirates.

It will be a really tough game. Our record at the Emirates (1 win in 12) is dire. Couple that with the fact that Walcott and indeed Giroud seem to be high on confidence right now and it's going to take something big to win there.

The key to beating Arsenal is always to win the midfield battle. I don't feel like we have enough bottle in midfield at times. Lucas is struggling to regain fitness and form, Allen has been largely poor and there's still question marks about Henderson and Shelvey.

I'd definitely go with Lucas, Henderson and Gerrard and I'd go with Downing over Sterling as Downing seems to be better tactically lately.

Defensively we were a shambles at the weekend; I really don't think Skrtel is liking this fancy passing out the back all the time but he has to do better defending crosses, not that Arsenal will put in many. I'm not sure if Enrique is back but I'd be concerned if he started having only just come back and having to defend against Walcott.

A draw would be a good result but if we are to still have dreams of 4th we really do have to win.

If you're making a statement about the EPL, use only the EPL stats,

He's scored 7 goals and 9 assists in 21 games.

General feeling is he has done ok but still capable of more given he is an established member of the world conquering mannschaft.

Compare with Walcott (10 goals 7 assists in 19 games) who is not even a regular member of the World comedic laughing stock that is the 3 lions (ROARRRR), and there is room for improvement.

To be fair, it's Poldi's first season in the land of beans on toast, while Walcott was born and bread in England and will probably replace Wenger one day, so close seem his ties to Arsenal. Furthermore, Poldi is playing on the left wing, while Walcott is usually used as a striker.

I wish he had those kind of stats playing for the NT ever since Löw moved him to the left. If he did, we'd be World and European Champions by now.

It's worth pointing out that Podolski makes decisive contributions as well. His goals tend to win us matches or draw us level, whereas Walcott's tend to be less vital. I think Podolski has done well so far. He sometimes seems a bit peripheral to play, and maybe that's something he needs to contribute more, but even still he tends to produce something of value in every game. His weakest period for us was when Gibbs was injured. They complement each other well on the left flank, whereas Santos tends to move into the same positions as Podolski, plus playing in front of Santos will make life hard for anyone! Hopefully he will continue shooting from range again. In his last two games he has scored a stunning effort against West Ham and hammered a free-kick against the bar against Brighton, so it's an added threat for us as Cazorla is the only other player prepared to have a go from range.

Agree on Weimann. Holman's pretty crap. even his grafting has gone downhill.

    I probably would've gone:

    Guzan
    Lowton-Vlaar-Baker-Bennett
    N'Zogbia-Westwood-Bannan-Gabby
    Weimann-Benteke

Weimann would drop back when needed to make up 5 in midfield. Get Zog & Gabby to stay wider so the fullbacks have some help in front of them & don't get destroyed all match long as seems to happen lately.

True of course. But it's always fun to use Walcott as a comparison, given his (unwarranted) reputation of being a bit shit.

Poldi will undoubtedly improve playing infront of Gibbs and not Santos. Santos is quite easily the worst Arsenal player i've seen since Francis Jeffers

This is a good team, and with the players to come back from injury,

Partly injuries, partly a lack of signings in the summer, partly players under performing, but mostly it's because we have a horrible negative manager that doesn't know how to use technical players. Look at today, picking James Perch over Anita. If we go 1 up tonight he will probably start subbing creative players for defensive ones.
