With the debute of Ake for the chels and emily talking about Spurs having a good academy(lol). I think it's time to talk about a very special generation. The Feyenoord class of 1994. Cause even because they are still very young. They already beat the La Masia class of 87 with the amount of players who play 1st team football. A unique achievement considering they used to play together since they were 8(!!)

So who are these band of brothers players? The ones that already made it to first team football:

Anass Achahbar, Terence Kongolo, Tony Vilhena, Jean-Paul Boetius,Mats van Huijgevoort , Sven van Beek, Elvis Manu(all Feyenoord) Kyle Ebecillio(Arsenal) Karim Rekik(Man City) and Nathan Ake(Chelsea)

Then we still have the likes of Joey Sleegers and Lucas Woudenberg who are likely to make their first debut for Feyenoord this season.

All in all a very special generation. Now, obviously, not all will make it to the top. Nor will one of them be ever as good as Messi. Many of them were part of the U-17 euro winning squad and already won many titles at any given youth-level. But it will be interesting to follow how many of them will make it to European top football or the Dutch national team.

Our 94s aren't that great. We do have Jose Rodriguez who is loved by Mourinho. Made his debut in Copa del Rey this year and beat some of Raul's records (youngest debutant and youngest goalscorer, I think). Good all around CM - good passing, good tackling, he is quite calm, has an eye for goal, good physical qualities. I guess we'll see if he makes it or not. Raul de Tomas has been in all of the Spain youth national teams forever it seems. Scored a lot of goals in the lower categories but then so did Portillo. Laughing He hasn't really made an impact in Castilla and not even getting a sniff at the first team, not even in training. Fran Pastor was the one getting a lot of hype for a while but he is still stuck in the juveniles so who knows, he will probably not come to anything.

Atletico are the ones that have a really nice 94 generation. Oliver, Manquillo, David Gil and Saul (who they nicked from us!). All are quite good, but Oliver is the one that really looks the part. The new Xavi!

Aren't we supposed to be talking about Feyenoords kids??

Oh that's right, no one gives a shit about a second rate league where even Federico Macheda would be able to get a regular game.

Also I hope you don't count Busquets in the La Masia 87s since he only arrived to Menos Que Un Club when he was 18. Ale

    Bitter yank.

No of course nobody should talk about them, not even Dutch football fans know most of them.

It's just to show how shit the academy of Spurs is and how special it is that players that all played together at the age of 8, all made it to the seniors. Now you say the Eredivisie is 2nd rate, maybe, but then should all those other generations have the same outcome. And that's not the case, you gaschamberdodger.

Cause let's be honest, no way Caulker, Naugthton, Obiku or whatever their names are, are likely to have a better career then let's say Vilhena.

The cules like to claim EVERYONE.

Busquets came up in some small clubs and then moved to Lleida when he was in his teenage years. Finally moved to Barcelona at 18 after his father begged and begged for them to let his kid in.

Alba also first came up in Hospitalet. Spent a few years in la masia then moved on to Espanyol I think and then to Valencia. He's barely a cule.

    Pique is theirs.

Cesc, I don't know. I think he really got his first years of development at a small local club and then left just after he turned 16. Is he theirs? Our good friend Messiah will certainly deny it! Laughing

Messi. Well I guess they get credit for pumping him full of steroids.
