Grr Grr Grr Grr Grr Grr Grr

Man United were still hungover in the first 30 minutes, but we lacked the quality to really inflict heavy damage them. Any quality side would have done that, even the current Chelsea side would have been home and dry by the half our mark. They woke up after that and the ease at which they were playing through us and creating chances without breaking sweat was very worrying to see, goes to show the difference in quality between the two sides. I'm 100% sure they'd have switched gears and put 2-3 goals past us if they badly needed those 3 points.

One thing we could learn from them us is how they defend; they defend in large numbers inside their box (with 3-4 players over 6ft), they don't even bother chasing players outside of it, so u are basically left with only one option: crossing the ball and that's just a piece of cake for them to deal with it.

Really furious with this result. We can't beat those c**ts even when they are playing at 60-70%. Not good enough.

One of my friends is a United fan and seems to think Rio has been their player of the season after RVP and Carrick.

It hasn't been a particularly great season for defenders; I'd maybe have said Distin or Nastasic but not with any great conviction.

Yeah defence has been all over this season. Kompany was pretty much the guy who everyone was talking about last season and he's been iffy this season.

Did I miss something with De Gea? Has he really been the best keeper? What about Mignolet, Begovic, Lloris, Guzan, Cech, Harte? Not sure he was better than any of those mentioned there.

De Gea has been a lot better than last season which in itself should make him nailed on for the award, and he plays for Manchester United so clearly he's a busy guy since they spend a lot of time defending, and it's not as though he has any good defenders in front of him.

Can't argue with much of the list, Ferdinand perhaps but it's not as though he's taking the place of someone who should be there. Stoke really tailed off otherwise Shawcross might have got in. Couldn't have argued against Luiz, Agger, Koscielny either. Ferdinand only missed a quarter of the season so perhaps he deserves it more.

absolutely deserved. Tottenham have CL qualification in their own hands entirely down to him (and Arsenal selling Van Persie)

without him they won just 2 league games (and got knocked out of the Europa Cup)

Man Utd would probably have won the league regardless of Van Persie, albeit probably not so convincingly.

Liverpool scored 9 goals in the 2 games Suarez missed

Yeah you shouldn't be allowed to win both really.

Bale winning is fair enough; I still think Suarez has been a bit more consistent and played in a lesser side but I'm glad Bale has won it over him than RVP.

They did have a thing on bbc this morning... Or yesterday... Saying without Bales goals Spurs would be one place worse off and 15 points worse off. United were still top without rvp but it was closer.

It should really be about 20

And they should wait until the end of the season before doing the awards.

Agger has been rubbish this season. Mistake prone, physically weak for a CB and gets dominated in the air. Also can't mark properly at set pieces.

I'm shocked Michael Owen is still a member of the PFA O.o

Age limit for the Young Player of the Year is U23 at the start of the season,
James Milner evnen turned 24 before he won it if im not mistaken.
Was probably the correct age limit back in the day,
but in modern time players peak as such young age and are physical monsters in their early 20s,
the age limit should really be lowered by two years.
The Premier League clubs now has 25 man squads where you have to be registered if you are above U21,
should just set the YPotY age limit so that only those that doesn't have to be registered should be eligible to win

SHIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTE! You know Ferdinand, Baines, and Carrick are only there because they're English. And as good as de Gea's been, Begovic's season was better. He's the reason Stoke are not in the lower division already. Begovic deserves a better team!

    Begovic (de Gea)

TFS! mes amis! The only English player that barely makes the list is Baines and that's only because Evra doesn't have any competition in the LB position in the league. Who's there besides him and Baines? José Enrique? Clichy? Ashley Cole sucked this season! but he got old and the only thing that helped him in the past was his speed and Chelsea and England always played with 11 men behind the ball. Also his spatial awareness is non-existant.
