Well Mata only played 8 minutes from the Euros and Javi Martinez featured in only the group match against Ireland. Jordi Alba is the one who could really suffer but since he plays for Farsa next year I hope he plays all 90 minutes of every match for la Rojita in London.

But both Mata and Martinez were a part of the squad that qualified and Martinez was the captain so I think Luis Milla felt like they deserved to be a part of olympics contingent.

Hopefully this is a wake up call for la Rojita but without Javi Martinez, Mata, and Alba it's not entirely surprsing those are three of the biggest players in the team.
