Someone like Mata can't have had a holiday in years.

Seems ridiculous to me. Not like Spain don't have enough in reserve as it is.

Well Mata only played 8 minutes from the Euros and Javi Martinez featured in only the group match against Ireland. Jordi Alba is the one who could really suffer but since he plays for Farsa next year I hope he plays all 90 minutes of every match for la Rojita in London. Ale

But both Mata and Martinez were a part of the squad that qualified and Martinez was the captain so I think Luis Milla felt like they deserved to be a part of olympics contingent.

Well Derik should definitely move up to Castilla from the C team. Jese is not ready for the first team yet but we certainly not send him to Benfica in exchange for Axel f*cking Witsel.

Mikel San Jose out of the Olympic squad as he's come down with chicken pox ffs. I guess they are worried about Muniain because he never had them either so he's been vaccinated but he might come down with them. Will be interesting to see who Milla calls in his place.

france are just very poor, their entire game plan is based on that fact that their smallest player is probably as big as spain's biggest

Don't get the pogba hype either based on they past couple of games he also shouldn't be playing against players so much smaller than he is, its an unfair advantage

Gerard dribbling reminds me of ronaldo except much better(seriously) but his finishing is like robben almost always beats his man off the dribble, takes shot after shot and most of them go no where and just as i am typing this he scores his 2nd of the game, should have had four or five

Surprised areola didn't save a kick

their is a football god, France were shit relied to much on their physical advantages instead of playing football, spain outplayed them in midfield due to their superior technique.

gerard really step up today, he,paco, jese and grimaldo will be stars of the future if they continue to develop.

    - Porteros: David De Gea (Manchester Utd/ING) y Diego Marino (Villarreal).

    - Defensas: César Azpilicueta (O. Marsella/FRA), Álvaro Domínguez (Borussia Moenchengladbach/GER), Jordi Alba (Barcelona), Martín Montoya (Barcelona), Alberto Botía (Sporting), Íñigo Martínez (Real Sociedad)

    - Medios: Javi Martínez, Iker Muniain, Ander Herrera (Athletic), Jorge Resurrección 'Koke' (At. Madrid), Oriol Romeu (Chelsea/ING), Isco Alarcón (Málaga)

    - Delanteros: Adrián López (At. Madrid), Rodrigo Moreno (Benfica/POR), Juan Mata (Chelsea/ING) y Cristian Tello (Barcelona).

None of the current or past barca youth players dropped Very Happy

Pretty good squad, they will miss thiago though he is the one that sets the tempo for the team, but I think they will be able to manage.

    ----------------De gea

    ---Montoya----Botia---Dominquez---Alba

    -----------Javi-----Herrera?

    -----Isco/Koke----Mata--- Muniain

    ----------------Adrian

Brazil and Uruguay are much better but they have a lot of senior team players

Hopefully this is a wake up call for la Rojita but without Javi Martinez, Mata, and Alba it's not entirely surprsing those are three of the biggest players in the team.
