I don't care about today's result. It's just great to see Villarreal back in Primera and even better to see that they are in decent shape, despite losing players like Cazorla, Borja Valero or Rossi.

Special props to Cani and Bruno for staying, especially Bruno is huge, as he is a local guy and he could easily play on CL level.

Real Madrid looked absolutely clueless going forward, not quite sure why Ronaldo was playing so far out wide and crossing the ball when there was no one in the box most of time.

I am surprised how well Villarreal have done to start the season, as they were particularly great last season in the second division, guess they just weren't that bother last season are something

Some of the Villarreal players were claiming before Real game that competing in Primera is much easier and fits them more, as it's much less physical than it was in Segunda, plus fixtures are less congested. Of course level of competition is higher which makes it a challenge, but they feel like it suits them much more. I guess it's not only like this in Spain, you hear about stuff like that in England between Premier League and Championship or even in shitty leagues like in Poland (Ekstraklasa and 1st Division).

I was think this mid way through the first half, also in a strange way the get more space than they do in the segunda.

That Villareal team is fully settled, most of those guys played together in the promotion year last season as far as I'm aware. That was also the equivalent of their Cup final.

You do realise that Varane isn't playing and that has a lot to do with why our defence is shakier than last year?

you do realize that even with varane, you conceded more goals than us in la liga last year?(the worst defense for us in years)
