Re: La Liga 2013/14 Season Thread
I don't care about today's result. It's just great to see Villarreal back in Primera and even better to see that they are in decent shape, despite losing players like Cazorla, Borja Valero or Rossi.
Villarreal
Special props to Cani and Bruno for staying, especially Bruno is huge, as he is a local guy and he could easily play on CL level.

Real Madrid looked absolutely clueless going forward, not quite sure why Ronaldo was playing so far out wide and crossing the ball when there was no one in the box most of time.

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Season Thread
Some of the Villarreal players were claiming before Real game that competing in Primera is much easier and fits them more, as it's much less physical than it was in Segunda, plus fixtures are less congested. Of course level of competition is higher which makes it a challenge, but they feel like it suits them much more. I guess it's not only like this in Spain, you hear about stuff like that in England between Premier League and Championship or even in shitty leagues like in Poland (Ekstraklasa and 1st Division).messiah wrote:I am surprised how well Villarreal have done to start the season, as they were particularly great last season in the second division, guess they just weren't that bother last season are something

I think everyone needs to take a chill pill.
That Villareal team is fully settled, most of those guys played together in the promotion year last season as far as I'm aware. That was also the equivalent of their Cup final.
RM are still putting the pieces together, it's early doors, hair takes time to gel etc. So try to calm the fuck down you anti-Madrid knee jerking tossbags

Okay I got it wrong with him, doesn't have the mentality to match his talent. He's like Berbatov - standing there admiring his build up play instead of following it into the box.

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Season Thread
Enough of this nonsense. Valencia finally win a match after three horrible defeats in a row - two at Mestalla - and all you can go on about are some insignificant teams at the top of table. Sheesh!
Meanwhile, supporters of Mr Dukic will be relieved to know that the Curse on him has been reduced to probation. You will notice that our Curse on Malaga surpassed even Jaime's expectations. His personal case is under review. Sabotaging us over CL place last year led to the departure of our local hero Soldado. We haven't forgotten that you nicked him originally and then Super has the cheek to claim that Madrid gave him to us. May have to curse him too. As you can see there are several Curses to catch up on, so the Custodians are still working out the priority. A whip-round is needed to pay them for their over-time! Give generously or they'll curse you.
