Diego and adra can play multiple roles including as the SS if their is an injury to Costa/Villa

given how we have been playing all season and especially the new year and how shit real are yet continue to get results, though they struggle against decent teams, which just goes to my point that they have been pure shit. I would rather Atletico win they play as a team which is more than i can say for us. no fucking synergy between midfield and attack what so ever. pisses me the fuck off

I think it also means there will be some more flexibility to rotate the holding players because Koke is so versatile, Gabi or Mario Suarez could be rested, esp against easier opposition, with Koke taking up a deeper role.

I have my doubts because I'm just waiting for Costa to get injuried. Also how will they handle Cl football as well. I don't adding Diego will cover for that. The only factor is that they are tough as hell and when you are nr.1 you will be more willing to battle on and ride the momentum especially Simeone in the dugout pushing/punching you along.

yeah that's true didn't think about koke being able to rotate in for one of those two, another big benefit

Should be two excellent ties. Tata has everyone except for Neymar available. A lot of controversy in la Real because Arrasate is going to stick with Zubikari in goal instead of going with the normal first choice Claudio Bravo. But Zubikarai has been the "Copa" goalkeeper from the start so he will continue. Of course Barcelona will be playing Pinto so maybe it evens out. Sounds like Canales will be available for selection as well.

Filipe Luis is the big absentee for Atletico. David Villa is doubtful but Arda Turan is back. Gareth Bale will be available but probably will start on the bench for Madrid. Of course, Atletico have one the last two derbis. The final of the Copa del Rey last year and the league game in the fall. Of course Casillas did not play either of those games, but he will be the starter tomorrow. Casillas has never lost against Atletico.

Meaningless goal, but still pretty sweet from Oriol Riera.

Casillas' stellar record against Patetico continues

Most progressive game we have played under Ancelotti. Tackling, pushing, scratching, stamping, and elbowing. What a great match and I honestly think we had it in us to play such a dirty game under this new regime. Pepe and Arbeloa were fantastic. Of course the actual football was also good but it wouldn't have been possible if everyone didn't get stuck in like that.

Progressive in that the players didn't play as if they were at the ballet, that much is true....and yet, Real Madrid won the possession 70-30, total shots 19-9, shots on target 8-3, corners 7-4, and accurate passes 530-159. Just goes to show what I always said that you can play with guts and you can play tough AND you can play football all at the same time.

Del Bosque talking about taking Jese to the World Cup which would have been unthinkable to most one year ago when he was playing for Castilla in Segunda. But it was obvious there was some talented kids there who just needed a chance and he is really taking it.

Jese aint going to no world cup, delou probably will though.
neither is isco, but thiagi ticket is being prepare.
