----------------------
Last season's top 2 go head to head on Monday night - in a way it's a shame that this game is so early as both teams won't be at full strength; Lallana is still missing, Markovic will probably make the bench. Moreno should come in at left back. Balotelli won't be registered in time. City are without Mangala, Zabaleta and Aguero are still not 100%. From our perspective I'm glad to get this out the way early - it's undoubtedly the toughest fixture of the season but one we should have won last season if not for woeful officiating. I think City will just edge this being at home so I will certainly take a point.
Villa got off to an unexpected good start last week while Newcastle got off to an expected poor one. Despite this they could have nicked an equaliser late on before Aguero sealed it at the other end. A defeat for Newcastle would really place pressure on Pardew though even at this early stage.
Everton vs Arsenal should be good - last season Everton won comfortably at Goodison to keep their CL dream alive and with Arsenal having one eye on their CL qualifier I can see Everton getting a win here.
On Sunday 'Arry returns to WHL; QPR will be really disappointed to lose vs Hull but I can see them causing some problems for Spurs - I'm expecting this to be a tasty affair.
United will have looked at their first few fixtures before the season and rubbed their hands with glee but all of a sudden Sunderland away is looking daunting - RVP might be back but defensively they are still a mess; Rojo is unavailable for this one.
This looks a good weekend!
