Bacca is decent, but replaceble. Not sure of Guidetti is the right option.
Pogba to Barca, please make it happen.
Jaime wrote:A few odds and ends...
*Sergio Garcia is leaving Espanyol to play in Qatar for Al-Rayyan. He's been in the club 5 years now and he really became one of the banner players. Have no idea where Espanyol will find goals next season.
*It looks like Rafa Benitez really is buying back Lucas Vazquez. 1m euro for the right winger who had a decent season for Espanyol last term. The new "Antonio Nuñez".
*Villarreal are selling Gio Dos Santos for 7m euro to MLS in America. Going to be a very new look Yellow Submarine come August.
*Laporta is basically promising Pogba if he is elected president. Still some of the early polls show Bartomeu ahead slightly.
*Valencia pulled out of the Rodrigo Caio transfer because they said he failed his medical with big questions over a previous knee injury. Apparently Atletico have swooped in and are trying to finalise the transfer.
*Arda Turan looks like he could be going to Chelsea. His agent is talking a lot these days but it sounds like the deal would include Chelsea sending Filipe Luis back to the Vicente Calderon.
*Joao Miranda passed his medical with Inter so that is a done deal. 15m euro.
*Real Sociedad may start the preseason with zero first team goalkeepers. There is an ongoing saga over the possible transfer for Geronimo Rulli to Valencia who are looking for a stand in while Diego Alves is injured. Plus they released Zubikarai. Three kids from Sanse have been called up by Moyes for their first stage of preseason.
*Marca reporting that Milan are going to pay the buyout for Carlos Bacca. The only thing they are negotiating is the schedule of payments.
*Sevilla being linked with John Guidetti as they prepare to lose Carlos Bacca. Fey will have to start following la liga now! He would be available on a free transfer.
*RM shopping Lucas Silva around. With the signing of Danilo and the return of Casemiro (plus James) they have the three non-EU places filled. Lucas Silva had been linked with Sevilla earlier but now Deportivo being mentioned as a possible loan destination.
*Villarreal wanting to make the Victor Ruiz loan deal a permanent one. Sounds like the clause is for 3m euro. He had some talented Victor Ruiz. I think it was a big mistake when he went to Italy so early in his career. Just turned 26 so he still has his best years ahead of him.
*Real Madrid being linked with several names in wake of all the Sergio Ramos rumours. I still don't believe he is leaving, not yet anyway. The first is Bonucci from Juve. Um, no thanks. As we all know it's a disaster waiting to happen for a Serie A defender to move to Spain. Now being linked with Marquinhos (not sure really how good he is or isn't) and Aymeric Laporte who I do love. He's not Sergio Ramos but he is a great young defender. Laporte was being linked with Milan. I think his buyout is still pretty reasonable, like 20m or something.

And Konoplyanka is quality, especially for a free transfer, he will replace Arda Turan nicely.
Jaime wrote:*Carlos Bacca to Milan is official.
*Very strange rumours surrounding Michu. He obviously was a pretty big flop in Italy. Sounds like he doesn't want to go back to Swansea. Being linked with Deportivo, Rayo, Malaga, and Espanyol in the most recent edition of Mundo Deportivo. I would have thought a team with more quality could do with him. His last year in Rayo and his 1st year with Swansea were really good. Even Sevilla who now has to replace Bacca could do with him. Or Villarreal who have to replace Vietto (and most likely Gio Dos Santos). Anyway it would be good if he returned to la liga, just surprised the calibre of team.

Makes u wonder what Valencia are doing with all that money, apart from running some elaborate scam

Well Valencia did finish 4th with the same team as they have now. So they can't be doing that bad by keeping hole of these players.
But who is going to replace Bacca at Sevilla? Will Gamiero now be first choice?
1. Another good pick up by Sevilla - Nzonzi maybe doesn't have physicality of Mbia and can't play CB as emergency, but offers much more in open play. Especially his runs from deep are very dangerous. Had a reputation as a troublemaker back in the day, but it seems at least Hughes was able to control him.Jaime wrote:
*Sevilla have signed Steven N'Zonzi from Stoke, presumbably to replace Stephane Mbia in the middle of the park. £7m is the fee that I've seen reported.
*Looks like Moi Gomez will join Getafe on loan for the next year. Still find it out that he is on the out at Villarreal but anyway.

He's really not.
