I reckon Benteke in and then Borini and Balotelli out then maybe try and find someone to replace Lambert as a 4th choice.

    Chicharito anyone?

Looks like Levy wants us to be net spend Champions 2015/2016 so he can build a new stadium. Our only hope is Liverpool suffer from trying to integrate too many signings. Otherwise they undoubtedly pushed ahead of us in terms of squad strength on paper at least.

I would rather just have 2 top strikers than 5 average/ above average ones. Sturriage or Benteke can't compete with a Aguero, Rooney, Costa or a Sanchez. The other names, you can forget it they are average players who won't provide us with much....Ings, Origi, Ballotelli, Lambert, maybe even Benteke. What a fucking waste of money by Brendan.

ok couldn't have put it better myself, why aren't we in for Aguero or Rooney?

Can't really complain about Costa or Sanchez since he tried to sign them and they chose other clubs.

Why have we failed to sign Bacca then? He's just what we need and we lose him to a shit Milan side.

I'm fairly happy with our window so far - I'm not overly keen on Benteke but not sure what other realistic targets there is.

Yes he's better than Benteke. Look at his PES Stats - http://pesstatsdatabase.com/viewtopic.php?t=18552

He's probaly not world class but he is in that tier below with the likes of Higuian, Morata, J Martinez etc

Can all play centre mid for us. None of them are world class yet but they'd be better if they could feed top class forwards and I think we're getting better in that area.

Seems Raheem is being a silly baby and not going to pre season training.

Can't wait for him to just sod off - I actually couldn't care less now. He'll be a very good player in the future but I don't really think it's that big a miss and the money we get for him can be spent on Charlie Austin.

Raheem Sterling: Liverpool forward to miss pre-season tour

Liverpool's Raheem Sterling has been withdrawn from the club's pre-season tour, with the Reds in talks over a transfer with Manchester City.
Sterling has asked to leave Anfield and was the subject of two bids from City in June, which were rejected.
The 20-year-old is under contract until 2017, but has turned down a new £100,000-a-week deal at Liverpool.
He had asked to be left out of the tour of Thailand, Australia and Malaysia but was named on a 30-man list on Saturday.
Several former Liverpool players have criticised Sterling since he told manager Brendan Rodgers and chief executive Ian Ayre he wanted to leave the club this summer.
Former captain Steven Gerrard said he is "disappointed" in the England international.
"You don't have to throw in illness, or refuse to go on tour," LA Galaxy midfielder Gerrard added. "The fans have shown him great support, they want him to stay and I believe that he should too."
However, it is understood the Reds decided to leave him out of the tour after the player reported for duty.
A recent study ranked Sterling as the most valuable young player in Europe, ahead of Paris St-Germain defender Marquinhos and Manchester United's recently acquired Dutch striker Memphis Depay.

    45m for that! scratch scratch

The kid wants wages off the season he leeched playing next to Suárez when the Uruguayan had three defenders on him. Them two Jamaicans with European passports are fooling everyone except yours truly.

One of them was smart enough to feign injury and miss almost an entire season without Suárez because he knows he's shit and feared his stock would plummet. The younger Jamaican showed everyone he's shite without Suárez and he still thinks he's good. lol! lol! lol!

Christian Cueva is much better than that overrated Jamaican with European passport. TFS! <Ale> <Ale>

Liverpool should take the money though. Excellent business since realistically the Jamaican is no worth more than 15m including his passport and thus without the passport they would pay 5m for him tops.

    TFS! <Ale>

That's our summer signings so far paid for then. The owners will be high fiving each other before going through their baseball plans for the season.

The fee is fairly accurate if seen as an investment for 5 years or so. Sterling right now is probably a 20-30 million player depending on how much MOTD you watch. Add in ten million for being English (sort of) and a million for every kid he has then it's spot on. QPR will get a hefty chunk so we'll probably see about 40 million odd of the actual fee.

Now to sell all of last year's strikers and Lucas so we can buy Benteke.

English clubs are fucking stupid. £50 million because he's (supposedly) English, it's ludicrous.

Look who we (Atletico) bought for £28 million combined. Yannick Ferreira Carrasco and Vietto. They are both young and are both better than Sterling FFS.
