Not had much to offer going forward - got a trio of forwards who would suit playing on the break but Utd playing conservatively and not allowing that option - usually playing offside successfully. Would expect Gestede on at HT as someone to hold it up/play off.

Should've been a pen, but refs never give them.

Liking Gueye a lot. First time seen him, looks real good allrounder in the middle to replace Delph. Other newbies not really done much. Richards poor for the goal, way too quick to go to ground.

Best league in the world my arse. They can make all the adverts they want but every time I watch it the footballs shit. La Liga shits on it from a great height. After that shite I think I will go and get some football therapy by watching some Ever Banega videos on youtube.

Memphis Depay is a bit, er, ineffective? Mata the difference between the sides. Well him and Mike Dean's usual generosity to Man Utd defenders.

I think you need a new club Fey, your one is dull. The Dutch colony in the North East is the natural choice. <Ale>

They have been boring since 2009, thank god for HSWHW otherwise we were looking at the Scousification of Man Utd.

My second team in England these days is, obviously, Southampton.

What a ride it has been for them!

United beating Spurs at home and Villa away 1-0 doesn't make them title contenders yet for me. They need to sort the GK situation out, sign at least one top class striker and maybe a top class wide player as well.

Once the CL gets going their squad will be tested.

Nice cross from Kone to Lukaku who finishes with perfect (and difficult) header.

1:0 for Everton - very nice counter attack, rare situation for Everton under Martinez.

    Another great goal for Everton.

Barkley is really talented passer... when he decides to pass actually. Great finish by Lukaku too.

Higher tempo for Everton, chances for Lukaku to attack the ball played in front of him... and scored twice already. Hopefully Martinez sees it, Everton really should play higher tempo to utilize him properly.

What Southampton having a second season syndrome after a flawless pre-season? Thats hardly new.

But having said that they have 1 out of 6 but were the better side in both their games.
