With the Glazers, it could be Michael Jordan.

Re: The next United manager
Personally, if Jol carries on as he has been so far, I could well see United going in for him in a couple of years.
United clearly favour a manager who will develop youth- cos, at the end of the day, its cheaper. Jol with a knowledge of the English game too and trying to play stylish football would fit the bill
Good shout COTR

if he does go to man u it won't be anytime soon.
i will leave barca and go to milan when he contract runs out, and will stay thier for anywhere from 3/5 seasons. what he does after that only he knows.

Re: The next United manager
Yeah he definatly wants to leave Barca, i don't think his style will suit Italian football though unless he can adapt. Italian players have a very different midset and Rijkaard is more of a man manager/figurehead then a tactician.
I think Fergie already has someone lind up. It won't be for another 3 or 4 years. He will move upstairs with someone like Cantona or keane that he can mould into the job. Judging by Cantona's comments i wouldn't be at all surprised if he put himself foward

Do you really think that an ex-player is the right choice? Great players rarely make great managers. Liverpool made that mistake with Souness (although Kenny Dalglish was good).

Re: The next United manager
i think hughes could be manger with cantonna or keane as assistant. Failling that big sam or martin o'neill, when he proves himself at villa, as both are good motivators

Re: The next United manager
As a Liverpool fan I'd be delighted for it to be any of Hughes, Cantona, Keane or Allardyce. I'd be worried if it was Rijkaard or O'Neill.
