'Cos he's an assistant. Fergie's never gonna work with someone who's a strong enough personality to become Utd manager.

The Fergie/Maclaren team was great but Mac left when Kenyon said Mac was never going to be manager after Fergie left.

He's made as a scape goat at Unite dby the fans.

He's a good tactician, we did win 1 prem under him that many United fan's don't know about,

I don't think the team has ever been tactically out thought just the personel hasn't been there.

word on the street is Fergle is off if he wins no 19 this year

I'd like to see Gary Neville player-manager with McLaren brought back as his number 2

apparently Ole Gunnar Solskjær is a serious contender

Sounds like they've looked longingly at Guardiola and want their own version.

or he's a cheap fall guy. Whoever replaces Fergle is on a hiding to nothing. They can't afford Mourinho so will have to kiss their fair share of frogs anyway, if Solskjær is given the job with Fergle as an advisor it might work better than getting in an established manager who would resent the drunk interfering.

Yo home boys, Carlos Queeroz was the brains behind Man U, old fucko Fergie was just the public face to trick the fucko fans. So surely he would be the best choice. Fucko's! <Ale>

he's been coaching for 4/5 years, currently Man Utd reserve team manager with some success, before that he was with the academy. He was offered the Norwegian national position recently but he had other ideas.

Solskjaer? He's in charge of their reserves,
and I guess on his way with his coaching badges.

Guardiola didn't have any experience neither,
it's not alway about being proven.
Can come a long way with club authority, winning mentality and passion.

the qualifying criteria for coaches in Spain are 3x as stringent as England. Level A badge in England for example takes 120-240 hours to earn, in Spain it's a minimum of 550 hours.

The people best placed to decide if OGS is ready will be at Man Utd, and I would expect Fergle to be around anyway, plus an experienced number 2 - Les Reed or Ron Atkinson.

I know you don't necessarly need experience to be a coach in a big club.. I dind't know he was the coach of the reserves. Even if they are doing well doesn't mean he will be succesfull being the coahc of the main team. Querioz didn't do that well, Keane as well for Sunderland. I think you need some kind of luck, which is to have good players in your team (like Guardiola).
L.Blanc has done great for Bordeaux and he didn't have any experience, but he played for several big teams which can be a good thing if you have to manage multi cultural players.

    Could Solskjaer be like Guardiola?
