Probably be Henry, even though it should be between Cantona, Bergkamp or Keane.

Luis Garcia's got to be in with a shout, surely? Daniel Agger and Xabi Alonso too. And Jari Litmanen.
My guess is that it'll go to Bruno Cheyrou or Djimi Traore though. Even if Sean Dundee and Eric Meijer were better.

I'd say Keane but I'd have no problem if Bergkamp wins it. Quality player.
Wonder if they count Giggs as foreign?

I see no reason why goalkeepers and DM should win it considering the quality attacking players that have played in the EPL

1) Bergkamp - no single foreigner has had as much impact on the league
2) Cantona/Zola
3) Schmeichel

Mainly because he's done it for longer, and because Bergkamp has/had more ability than Henry in terms of close control and weighted passing. I don't particularly like either player in terms of discipline and personality, but I reckon Bergkamp was the better player. I couldn't give a toss for statistics in the face of goals like this:

Argh !!!!
It absolutely infuriates me when people actually mention Zola in the same breath as Cantona,Bergkamp,Schmeichel,Henry
Firstly to name the obvious he never won a big trophy i.e The Premiership/Champions league, the closest he got was an FA cup.
And now for the education, he scored 80 goals in 7 years at the bridge, thats just over a pathetic 11 goals a season, then you may say 'but he was a creative force' a creative force which accumulated only 40 assists in his 7 year career.
The guy wasn't a success, he is a striker, his scoring record was woeful, his assist record is woeful, and bar the mickey mouse cups he won nothing.
Some of you are clueless, sure a great show poney but best foriegner the premiership has harboured ever ? you've gotta be joking, ill name 10 that have had more of an impact.

Did Juninho arrive the same season as Ravenelli ?
I remember his debut hattrick against us opening day of the season grr
I liked Boro then though, they had a certain warmth and brought some great players to the premiership !

I’ve enjoyed watching most of the players who have already been mentioned, although I’m unsure who the best was.
Perhaps erroneously, my impression of Bergkamp is that he is a hardworking professional. What, in particular, do you dislike about his personality and discipline?

To be honest anybody who is at the top of their profession can be pretty ruthless, so its to be expected that they may have aggression, after all it was that determination that has got them to where they were/are. I personally like that in people, loved watching Keane with fire in his belly.
