Thought dinho chose spain because of the culture, lifestyle, weather etc, and the style of football.

Point was that puro was saying the ferguson gets his man if he really wants him so he didn't really want shearer. I say he did, but in the end the pull of shearer's home club was greater. Same as ronaldinho, he chose somewhere else and ferguson could do nothing about it.

I admire Shearer for picking his home club. I think he knows that he would have won more with man u, but to have won 1 thing with newcastle would have meant more to him.

I do think he should have been dropped for andy cole for the national side though. There was this period when he was not scoring and cole was scoring loads, but shearer was an automatic starter like beckham became, and now rooney etc. No-one should be.

Disagree. Shearer has scored loads no matter who he's been paired with.

At international level Cole needed a host of chances to score one and always wanted the ball over the top to him.

Im happy with what I've got with Rooney and Ronaldo, whilst Im sure Barca fans are happy with what they've got in Ronaldinhio.

Don't get me wrong, I think Ronaldinhio is a superb player and one of the best of the last 10 - 15 years I've been watching football. However I just think Kaka has the makings of being better, if he isnt there already and he also comes with alot less bullshit as well.

He's got all kinds of records but only a few trophies, I think one or two league titles but I could be wrong. The one time Saenz ventured abroad (Argentina) he was shipped right back ala Owen/Woodgate. It's too bad for Saenz the media never hyped him like Shearer was.
