Can hardly remember the game in all honesty.
If a player who has played in London cant get higher than 6 though...he must have been bad

You raise a good point.
Whats more impressive, beating Watford at home 3 - 0 or beating Wigan away 3 - 1?

Sky ratings is given by some jouranlists , so some players will get higher ratings however they play.

Yes, that was great.
However of the two examples I gave which is better?
As for some reason Arsenal got all 7's and 8's for beating Watford at home, we got 6's, 3 4's and only a couple of 8's in one paper.

Obviously beating Wigan away is a harder result than Watford at home....
Papers are shit though, they dont even watch the Boro games im sure.

Re: Weekend Match Thread (14-16th October)
They were right at us and we were shaky for the first 15 minutes, other than that they hardly troubled us. In the second half they hardly entered our half and we played some of the best football I've seen us play in ages.
People like Vidic getting a 6 and Carrick getting a 4 is ridiculous.

Should of known better.
From now on I'll just reply - Carrick > Boateng. Hit you where it really hurts.

But Carrick's only role seemed to be to pass it to Vidic or Rio. Not very useful imo. Saha should have been getting a 6, and Vidic a 7

Re: Weekend Match Thread (14-16th October)
Someone else commented this on Carrick yesterday, it seems to be a very lazy assumption. I counted at least 10 passes that went forward to the strikers or the wingers.
He deserved a 6/7 yesterday. Saha would of got a 7 and I'd of given Vidic an 8.

Roeder is a twat - I can't belive how he got in.
In hindsight it was another AWFUL decision, Freddie Shepherd is worse though - he is Doug Ellis Mark II.

Re: Weekend Match Thread (14-16th October)
Definitely not a penalty. The ref is clearly a Geordie.
This is the sort of game that makes me realise that some premiership teams are miles behind their la liga counter-parts.
All huff and puff, 100 miles an hour, but so little quality.

Re: Weekend Match Thread (14-16th October)
Its not the players though obispo - O'Neill has proved that IMO - its some of the knuckledragging managers that we still have in the EPL.
Newcastle have some technically very good players but rather than make use of that its long ball tactics

Re: Weekend Match Thread (14-16th October)
Yes, well, Roeder is by far the worst manager in the league, so I see your point.
Honestly though, after Emre, Duff, Solano and Martins - they're lacking technically.
A decent manager would have got the best out of Luque by now. Even though he's just above average IMHO, he's still better than the rest of this dross.

& Rossi.
To be honest most games involving Bolton aren't going to be a spectacle for the purist. Still capable of being exciting though.

They have other players that are decent technically though - even Milner, N'zogbia etc...
Its the manager more than anything - the guy was the same at West Ham.
If they had got a manager like O'neill they would be playing good football IMO
