they are nothing special, they were very defensive last season in the french league, got a couple of 1-0s .

I think micoud's arrival has destabilised them a bit because they now try to play a bit attacking with micoud, chamack and Dacheville

I think that Rijkaard was a major factor in the defeat..

First of all he had clearly instructed the fullbacks to stay back in defense, and with Chelsea's tactical discipline, the overlaps they could have provided were key to opening up the Chelsea defense..

Secondly, after we go behind, he takes off Gio, effectively killing the left side, since Dinho proved incapable of dealing with Boula on his own, and taking out a striker, for a winger, when Chelsea is sitting deep is just stupid..

I would have taken off Edmílson for Iniesta, too allow a bit more attacking power in midfield, moved Dinho in centrally, leaving Gio with the left flank, and if the goal still wasn't coming then I would have gotten rid off Xavi for Saviola, just to add firepower.. Giuly came on too late in the game when his style of play wasn't going to work anyway.. either start him or put him on when we are stilling drawing or winning..

we would have done well with crouch today

Isn't Drogba on 4? I think he's up there if you include qualifying rounds. He has the same amount of goals as David Villa, atleast.

Though the 3-1 Chelsea victory was one of the best CL matches I've ever seen. Zola was a god in that game.
