neutrals: who do you want to win liverpool or utd?

Im rooting for liverpool. Simply because i think utd are more of a threat for the title this year than liverpool.

I genuinley am not bothered who wins, as long as it turns out to be a good game. I think Liverpool winning would be more beneficial to us, as it would give us a chance to be number 1 outright, but if Liverpool win and we drop points, it could bring them right back in it straight away.

I'd prefer a draw. Preferably not goal less.

how can saha roast carragher on his own? surely he needs some help from his team mates and to do it on the pitch would scare kids (and me).

In the football sense - you know, skin him alive, make him looke foolish with some trickery etc.

Van der Sar overrated????? If he was I would be the first to say that, but the fact that this man plays on such a high level for a very long time, makes him nothing more then a legend...He is also by far the best keeper in the EPL.

best footballing keeper in prem: he never panics. robinson could do with watching a few videos of van der sar. cech is (hopefully not was) best keeper in prem and by a good stretch too.

I just find it funny that VDS is treated as some sort of God despite the fact he was as big a bust in Turin as Henry was.

But anytime I say this the Dutchies gang up on me... like now.

He's been great but He's no Buffon, Schmeichel or Cassillas. I'd also take a peak Kahn over a peak VDS as well.

Plus according to Opta stats .. he was the best goalkeeper in the Premiership last season.


and he created the most goals by a goalkeeper, but thats a different story.

I'd have him top 5 with Cech, Reina, Given and Lehmann (no particular order). I don't think there is much to chose between any of them, so it merely comes down to opinion and of course biasness.

1995-2001 when he was at Ajax .. he was in the top 5 (maybe) 3 in the World

2001-2006 - he maybe not in the top 5 .. but he didn't become rubbish.

I won't judge him entirely on the Juventus thing, but that was his Big moment - and he blew it.

He's been a very good, sometimes outstanding player - but I do cringe when people make these "Ooh he's easily the best GK" statements.

Seriously - why is he rated so much higher than Lehmann? Nobody, bar Otto would say Jens is the best 'keeper around, so why VDS?

Schwarzer is the best.

Im not saying he is the best of the world. But he is such an allround goalkeeper. He ain't a penalty killer. But heej nobody is perfect. Some nice saves of the man...And in Oranje he is so many times our best player, it makes me feel kinda sad that he has to play in the Oranje of today.

When Cech puts together 4-5 seasons like Buffon & Cassillas have, & Schmeichel & Kahn used to, then we can talk. Cech is barely out of Nappies in terms of GK's.

there isnt much in it ill give you that but buffon just gets my vote because he has been at the top longer and he was amazing in world cup. HIs organisation of his defence is top class ( so is cech's mind u) and maybe he also edges cech on distribution.

good stuff, I agree - I never called him a clown oranything like that, but he over-praissed I feel. Even now at Man Utd. When he joined, they were hardly going to get any worse in goal after the Howard & Carroll comedy act.
