Did Lampard mean to score or cross?

it looks like a fluke, but I'm willing - as a generous Barça supporter - to give him the benefit of the doubt.

An excellently taken goal, why would a player of that class cross a ball to were no one was?
He undobtedly meant it, and as proven once and for all he is a world class player, and a great goalscorer.

I think it was a shot. The other day I was playing footie and I gave the opposition player trying to close me down "the eyes", that is that I looked one way while passing the other. Its nothing special and no big deal just because dinho does it, so of course lampard could do it.

Plenty of footballers ourselves included speculatively try to shoot from far, chip the ball into people's paths and curl it in from an accute angle etc. Usually we don't get it right but sometimes we just do.

BTW I haven't seen the goal yet! But on Dutch Television they compared the goal with Johan Cruijff's goal against Belgium....!!!!

This is a big honour of course when a player like lampard is compared with the Legend..., El Salvador ..... God....!
