Can anybody please explain to me what was wrong with Drogba's disallowed goal?

I saw nothing wrong with it whatsoever, but maybe I was watching through rose-tinted glasses.

wenger was poor but why does nobody mention the entire west ham bench mocking the arsenal bench (cough cough roy carroll) and celebrating directly at them.. hardly great behaviour in itself and was obviously going to get a reaction...

If they've done that to us, Jol would have just given a Mean Icy look and they would have Cowed back to their bench, with Carrol Bowing down to him... Very Happy

Wenger though....is a recipe for exploiting ones passion and Mocking....Just because of his Winging ways...

There was nothing wrong with it.

It is thought that Terry was "holding" King was the reason why it was disallowed despite being 8 yards from Drogba and the goal. Should have been a goal.

I said it was great to see them not going for you SP4...

purely on the basis that over the past 3 or 4 years we should have had about 10 stonewall penalties against you and im not even sure we have got one

was harsh today but i won't be shedding any tears Wink

Chelsea more often than not ride their luck, whether it be referee decisions or Lampards deflections, or late goals, whilst playing some terribly boring football, managed by a petulant coach which has rubbed off on certain players.

Unfortunately i cannot muster any tears for Chelsea today either.

Really? scratch Let's see the results:

Man City 3-0: Terry 11, Lampard 26 (deflected), Drogba 78
Middlesborough 1-2: Shevchenko 16; Pogatetz 80, Viduka 90 (who gets late goals?)
    Blackburn 2-0: Lampard 50 (pen-stonewall), Drogba 81
    Charlton 2-1: Drogba 6, Carvalho 63, JFH 54
    Bremen 2-0: Essien 24, Ballack 68 (pen-correct decision)
    Liverpool 1-0: Drogba 41
    Fulham 2-0: Lampard 73 (pen-stonewall), 80
Levski 3-1: Drogba 39, 52, 68; Ognyanov 89 (late goal for who again?)
Aston Villa 1-1: Drogba 3; Agbonlahor 45 (injury time goal)
    Reading 1-0: Lampard 44
    Barcelona 1-0: Drogba 48
    Sheff United 2-0: Lampard 43, Ballack 49
    Barcelona 2-2: Lampard 52, Drogba 93 (1st late goal!); Deco 3, Eidur 58
    Tottenham 1-2: Makelele 15; Dawson 25, Lennon 52

So all in all that makes 3 penalties (all correct decisions - 1 stonewall), and 1 Lampard deflected goal, along with 1 late goal for and about 3-4 late goals against.

yup and i at no point defend wenger.. he was childish beyond belief... it just annoyed me a bit the way sky were putting all of wengers actions down to pardew who clearly did nothing wrong whenever wenger was probably incensed at the lack of respect going on behind pardew.

Nothing, Poll said it was for shirt pulling before the ball was crossed although you'll struggle to see it. How it can be a foul when the ball isn't in play is a question someone should ask him. Basically he had it in for Terry today. My brother had a £20 free bet (all his teams won yesterday) and a Chelsea win would have given him £100. I think Poll should reinburse him. As my brother supports Arsenal, it was a double whammy today (Henry was shit again). I don't begrudge Spuds the win, they've waited long enough but I wish referees wouldn't try to be the focus of attention in these games and just did their job.

    @ Rosy

I hope you realised I was being sarcastic (it was more of a rhetorical question).

No complaints about the first Terry yellow, but if anyone considers the 2nd one a yellow, I'm sorry, but no player will ever last a game without being booked. It was arguably the worst booking of the season (and the first was only JT's 2nd booking of the season) so now we'll have to replace him for a match.

Shocking decision, I hope the FA takes a look at it and relegates Poll to the conference ok Whistle

recent posts, what you mean is one particular post which attacked the club you support, i can understand why you become defensive. However the point is Chelsea have had quite enough luck, apart from the debateable's in recent seasons, i believe a billionaire owner bankrolling your club is quite enough luck.

The facts are all one sided

Quote 'History is written by the winners'

Those facts are in relation to incidents which affect Chelsea i.e the Penalies given for Chelsea what about Penalties that havn't been given against Chelsea, or red cards that haven't been given against Chelsea etc...

So please you can use your so called facts to support your arguement but its blatently obvious they are not objective, infact quite the opposite subjective texts.
