I don't know why people are banging on about it. It would hardly matter to Barça. If Barça do their business in the last two games, they are through, independently of Chelsea.

Whats wrong with that? Joe Cole has been injured, but prior to that he was excellent for both club and country. An influential and skillfull player, just like Diego is for Bremen..
I ignore Deisler's comparison, because he doesnt know a thing about football outside of Munich

Under your pseudonym "Darling", you were definitely an HSV supporter were you not, and indeed during your earliest soirees on this board and 606 you definitely purported to be a Hamburger if my memory serves me..
Pray thee, what occurred for you to fall so out of love with them? Was there a direct correlation with a CL humbling perhaps? What did you think of the game last night by the way: I presume you Teutons are growing sick of the sight of young Theo tormenting your countrymen; the young English upstart led Hamburg a merry dance last night after his introduction.
Herein lies the thing Captain- its hardly a sinking ship with players of Walcott's calibre lie waiting in the wings to play for the Albion! So you can still count me in as a reliable deckhand as we sail towards 2008, however I would ask you to shave off your handlebar moustache and mullet perm, and replace it with sideburns and a sea faring beard; you Germans have a lot to learn about sailing

Re: Bremen vs Chelsea
Hmm, it's nothing wrong in comparing Cole with Diego if you want to, but why? I mean apart from the fact they're both influential and skillfull players, they're pretty different players with different strengths, playing on different positions with different tasks and they also don't play against each other directly...The Real White Pele wrote:chrissicross wrote:Comparing Joe Cole with Diego?TeamSpirit wrote:I hope Joe Cole gets to start "in the hole". Re: Bremen vs Chelsea
@pele
I don't know what you are talking about
how is switching first allegiance from Bremen to HSV the act of a glory hunter ?????????????
neither have I suddenly switched back to Werder after yesterday's Arsenal game
my first club is HSV, my second: Stuttgart, my third: Bremen
(this only becomes relevant in the table or when they play against each other)
meanwhile, Bremen have my 100% support in the CL, after all "being a Bremer is a basic human right"
as for Darling, you have to ask the good fellow yourself; I have not seen him around for some time; pity, I liked him a lot ; top bloke
back to HSV: I did not watch the Arsenal match yesterday, cannot comment
it's interesting though that you keep banging on about Walcott and have completely stopped raving about ZEROoney ( once the first man on ANY teamsheet )
I wonder why that is
thanks for offering your services as a deckman on my boat; your courage is noted; and now boy, I ORDER you to leave this ship IMMEDIATELY; the engine room is already flooded; the pump not working , the satellite navigation system was always faulty and the mike has broken down
@pele
you are too young to die for nothing; you have your entire life ahead of you; you have a girl-friend who will help you get a Vaterland visa (you with a bowl of Goulasch in your hands, she was an empty glass, asking for a refill of the finest German nectar)
I am 76 now and will feed on my HSV/Bremen/Stuttgart/Nationalmannschaft memories once in heaven
let me do this on my own with dignity !

Otto,
So you were originally Bremen, then changed to HSV? You should know switching allegiances of any kind is frowned upon within the football supporting community. Shame on you
Actually, Mr Rooney is second top scorer in the Premiership, scoring the majority of those away from home. Impressive stuff from someone who is by no means an out and out striker - yesterday he was being played for the majority of the game on the left again, and yet still managed to use his vision to set up Louis Saha with an outrageous pass. Unfortunately the Frenchman was not so inventive with his finish.
Rooney is not selfish enough quite simply. But still a great talent; even you know it Captain deep down.
I could ask you the same question though- your obsession with pointing out 007 (poignant considering that is the number of goals he has scored in the league this season), but no mention of the new id on the block. Not one. Not an iota, even when Theo came saw and conquered in your backyard two months ago. You kept that firmly queit, choosing to deflect attention upon Rooney's low goalscoring tally.
Naughty Otto, I feel a mutiny may be on our hands !
