it all depends on what they are judning on. if it is performances then zizou(sorry) and dinho dont deserve it.
zidane was great in 10-12 games for madrid at the start of the year. he really was back to his old self. but he couldnt keep it on so he shouldnt get it.
didinho i really dont think should get because i have watched him all year and he has by far not shined the way he did in his first season for barca.
he really doesnt deserve it. i will go as far as say zizou should get it ahead of him.
cannavaro is my choice of the 3. it works against him that very few(only italians) can see beauty in defending. people notice offensive players when they good things while people notice defenders when they make mistakes, so it is easy to hype offensive players. all i can judge on is that he has been getting some critique at madrid but he has been ok. the rest of the year has gone without a sound which i think is a sign that he has been good.

Can you (or the mods stick) another option on the poll as I cannot vote for any of the above.

If I exclude the guy who is nominated due to reputation then zidane is out. If I remove the guy who is being nominated for being really good in 6 games out of maybe 60 then cannavaro is out.

That only leaves dinho who was good in the league and CL, but henry, buffon and eto'o have been better.

    So for me
    1. Henry
    2. Eto'o
    3. Buffon

you have to see where i come from.its because i saw barca play cl and he rarely showed anything in a game then he might turn up 3-4 times in a game and do something good and that is it. that was the pattern in most games he played for barca and that season he has just gone one step further and not delivered those 3-4 good things in this season.
zidane was horrible for madrid except for the first 10-12 games of 2006. then he went on to the world cup and played crap again and then suddenly he showed his level again despite being at a very low point. so im not just basing it on performance but also how the performances came along. zidane didnt have the conditions that didnho had and still shined for france.
