We played without Ronaldo Doh It's not our fault that Barca thinks Gudjonsen is a good enough backup for Eto'o.

You can look at the flip side of that. We are 1 point away from Barca without our number 1 striker and with a completely new coach, and 5 new signings that are yet to completely gel in our team. We are also not getting the flukey refereing decisions that Barca get every couple of games. Imagine what will happen when our team actually gels.

Imagine what will happen when Etoo and Messi come back, and Zambrotta adjusts fully.

I have nothing against u, i admire your club for its past achievements and many of my favourite players have played for u but i don't just rate the current team that much. I believe u are in good hands (capello) but u have to change certain things/players to be where u deserved to be once more.

No doubt -- progress is a slow process. We shall see what we win at the end of the season to make a real judgment.

Agooner, you forget that Real are a team which is rebuilding with a new coach and is likely to get stronger and stronger over the season... I said at the start of this season that Real are favourites to win La Liga specially if they hit the winter break only a few points off Barca (and quite a few people found that funny)...

Real have done better than even I expected, and I am quite sure you will see Real pick up pace as months go by... Capello's discipline has started making an impact, and Real already has the most impressive defence in La Liga - believe me, it will only get better.

I am really surprised to see so few people voting for Real... and just one for Milan.... both these teams are more likely to win the CL than Lyon, IMO.

I don't see that from being much different from Cannavaro, Diarra, and Reyes from fully adjusting. And RVN already has an impressive record for someone who just got to La Liga, he could get even better. And Robinho himself could get a lot better. He has potential to burn. As I've said on several occasions, I expect Robinho to tear defenses apart the way Ronaldinho does sooner rather than later.

I also tipped them to win la liga at the start of the season but having watched them a dozen times i have changed my mind. I am sure capello will get the best out of them but they just lack quality in some key areas to win any major trophy this season

Capello claims that he wants to play both Ronaldo and Ruud. However, for that to happen he has to break his beloved Emerson - Diarra pivote. It would also seem unfair to bench Ruud after his amazing goal tally this season (though I would definitely prefer Ronaldo over Ruud). So I'm not making any guesses at this stage. This question will be answered within the next few games.

Actually I am not surprised to see that Inter are not rated as highly as they should be out here... I guess its more coz of Inter of yesteryears, very few people here must have seen Inter play in Serie A this season. They way we are playing at the mo, I fancy our chances against Chelsea or Barca... we will start those games with at least a 50% chance of winning the tie...

I hope you are right, Puro, that Inter will become better in Jan/Feb.... but I doubt it, coz we are playing at a very high level at the mo. I will be delighted if we continue to play the way we are...

Just remember that we already signed Marcelo as RC's replacement so our future LB is already assured. It is also very likely that we will sign Gago in January and if that doesn't happen then we will sign another creative player, since that's our number 1 priority at the moment.

I think they just need a quality partner for Cannavaro, apart from that they are right there and need to start combining better...

Anyways, I still think that they will pull away from Barca later in the season.

One game where Inter got 2 red cards, and another game which was meaningless enuf to promt Mancio rest all his main stars and play a makeshift team with 4 fullbacks and 3 wingers! You cannot form an opinion on such games... Barca and Chelsea have had more bad games than Inter this season...

Inter has played with remarkable consistancy this season so far (more than any club in the big 3 leagues) and won all our critical games (away to Roma, Milan, Fiorentina, Palermo and the 3 CL must win games) - based on this season, you can hardly call the team fragile.

Interesting to see that Barcelona have 3 more votes than Chelsea do...I would have thought both those 2 are automatic choices, but for some reason people have left Chelsea out of their top 4 when picking Barcelona (could be the other way around too).

The top 4 is man utd barca chelsea inter. Torrent targetman talking alot of nonsense in this thread. Maybe upset madrid are not even top 7. Lyon are above madrid, they win there league easily, and they easily beat them, outplayed them away from home also. They need to go further in the cl, but i'm sure it is a matter of time.
