    Oh okay.

For a moment, I thought you had inside information Wink

I hope Robben plays. Newcastle's full backs (particularly Baba) look weak. It's just a shame that Joe Cole is not fit.

I hope Sheva plays. I have a feeling he'll score tonight (said that to some of the locals before the Levski game). In almost all of our Prem games this season, the defenders have been very tight to Shevchenko. Tonight, I think it'll be different, with the Newcastle defence backing off him and Drogba.

Emre's been playing well, and Luque has shown the touch of a rapist when he's been given the chance. Erm

    scratch

It's not as if Newcastle have played him out of position, or he's delivered great crosses that the strikers have missed. His shooting has been crap, he kept losing the ball, and always made the wrong decision on when to pass or shoot, and who to pass to if he did choose the pass option.

I know it's fashionable to bash Newcastle on this board, but you saying that is the same as me blaming Liverpool for Jermaine Pennant's shiteness, for example.

Who are we talking about here because it's not as if Luque has played fullstop. Pennant's created 6 goals already this season. Not bad really for someone who's clearly out of form.

    Duff.

I know Pennant's (kind of) done the job, I was basing that off the criticism I read in the Liverpool thread.

Ok then, Kewell. Or Zenden. Both proven in the Premiership but average for Liverpool...Kewell even has injury problems like Duff.

    Anyway, you get my point.

    From BBC's website:

    TEAM NEWS

Chelsea's £30m striker Andriy Shevchenko is demoted to the substitutes bench with Salomon Kalou, Arjen Robben and Shaun Wright-Phillips forming a very attacking front-line.

    scratch
How's that going to work then? Is Drogba in?

and also the chance to play with a few wingers/assiters for a change. weird man management from jose but 30 million fee aside he deserves his spot on that bench

Senderos doesn't even make the bench - this might've been a good game for him to redeem his confidence, playing against Emile Heskey who has been rushed back from injury.

Hmmm...so I think we can safely say that Mourinho does brilliantly with players he already has, but is poor in the transfer market. I'm not counting Essien, Ballack, Shevchenko, etc. because those were "no-brainer" signings.
