Van Gaal couldn't even qualify with the Dutch team for the World Cup while Van Basten, Rijkaard, Advocaat, Libregts and Hiddink all qualified for the World and/or European Cup....
He also wasn't too successful at Barcelona....
Also Van Basten, who mostly don't react on those critics bounced back and asked Van Gaal to get some self-criticism...

Van Gaal is nowadays very successful with AZ Alkmaar. He built a complete new team and has already a lot of success in the Dutch league with the inexperienced group of players. HE also have a lot of success in the UEFA Cup where AZ beat, number one in Spain, Sevilla on their homesoil with 1-2 (two times Arveladse)..... But...
Is Van Gaal right to criticise the Dutch team or has he to shut up because he was the worst Dutch coach in the last twenty years.... ?
