This is for 2006 so Huntelaar still should be in it. Koevermans wasn't even nominated Yikes

Drenthe no way, deCler was better than Emanuelson.
Was Hanson really that good? Was Affelay really that important for PSV? Kone the same. I would have Koevermans above Kone for sure.

no way... you are talking like you are suffering from Ajacitis. Hype a player after a few good games....

De cler is possible...

Nkufo, Koevermans, Arveladse and Bakircioglu are worth to get a mention as well. But to be honest I'm not sure they were better than the others...

Salcido, Alves and Engelaar made a huge impact as well but they only played a half year in the Eredivisie

I would say De Cler over Urby!

If this wasn't only for players who played both seasons in 2006, Salcido (who arrived this summer), should be left fullback imo. Otherwise I'ld go for De Cler.

Imo this season Koev > Alves > Stuntelaar (can understand picking KJH if it's about 2006, but that would be mainly based on performances in the previous season).

Emanuelson and Huntelaar are the biggest jokes. Neither should be on there: the striker with the second season syndrome and an underperforming OK-ish (but no more than that) RB. Consequently, Ajax wouldn't have anyone in that XI Laugh

Alves and DeCler should take there places.

Koevermans is indeed more important and has/had more impact than Kone (as good as Kone was). Same for the lightweight Affalay.

I'm also tempted to find place for Salcido and Kromkamp. Even Shota still needs to get his dues!

Alves cannot come into the line up because he only played half a season. The same counts for Salcido... Kromkamp is joke of you, isn't it...? He hasn't performed that well. BTW Koevermans wasn't a starter last year so that would give him a lot of min points....

PSV are abysmal low ranked. THey played some great football at some times... Sometimes it was boring though because they only had to do the business but Ajax was indeed no more spectacular than PSV on football terms...
