To reach the top is difficult but to stay at the top is even more difficult...

    Hiddink was successful at

    PSV 88-92 (EC I)
Valencia 90th (reached them to the top of Spain)
Dutch national team (Semis WC 98)
    Madrid (WC)
    Korea 2002 (semis WC)
    PSV 2002-2006 (Semis CL)
Australia 2006 (second round WC for the first time)
Russia 2006-2007 (he is now completely restructuring the stagnating Russian football)

Such a diversity mourinho hasn't! That's why Hiddink is far ahead of Mourinho! Perhaps you can compare him with Guus in about 10 years time but before that it is simply impossible!!

Would be interesting to see Hiddink in the premiership but I am not too sure Jose will leave Chelsea.

It would be great for Serie A if Jose went there.

The league doesn't have great profile outside of Italy now - who knows Jose could see Gazzetta and James Richardson returning to our screens !

I really hope he doesn't go.

Getting Kenyon is comfortably the worst signing we've made since Roman came.

btw Milan or Inter would be lucky to have Mourinho. He is vastly better than Ancelotti or Mancini.

The Mikel troubles, the gallas thing, the board not being happy with him etc. I wouldn't mind him at Man Utd, so if he can wait 3-4 years then great.

Probably Inter i guess, why not ac milan though?

He is gonna go to Inter mate - he has gone on record and even said as much!

Also completely agree with your remarks re; Sheva, Obi, Kenyon etc...

He has BIG diff. of opinion on many matters and that makes not for a happy ship!

@ Man Utd - he is a 'jobbing' manager - we are club that succeeds and breeds on loyalty and longevity.....we need SAF TO REMAIN FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES FOR KEANE TO LEARN THE ROPES AT SUNDERLAND! Then he can take over and manage us for another 20+ years as he is the ONLY person after SAF who appreciates and undertsands what Man Utd are all about!

    Bullshit.

Bless him -Mourinho's not doing as well at Chelsea this year because other people are choosing which players should play and he has to deal with a number of World Class players and their ego's - welcome to Carlo's world of the last 5 years.

Well I'm sorry, but I'd take Mourinho over Ancelotti any day of the week.

He is a better motivator and in my opinion better tactically.

In his 2 years at Juve and 5 at Milan Ancelotti has won a grand total of 1 league title.

Their records in the CL over the last 3 years are basically equal as well.

Also youve said before you think Terry and Lampard are both egomaniacs and clearly Gallas/Robben/a few others arent the humblest players in the world. So José has done some management of egos before.

Chelsea letting Jose go will be a stupid move IMO because they simply can't get a better manager.

    debatable especially with unlimited resources...

but it will make them more popular even if it is only slightly more

There isn't a better tactician and motivator than him. Besides i don't really see any good in them being popular; having the belief that everyone is against them serves as a huge motivating factor.

Nice speculations going on here with the media trying to create havoc again.

Did anybody here actually read the Roman Abramovich interview? If so, you'd have heard straight from the horses mouth that he has nothing to do with the way the football side of Chelsea is run, and how highly he rates Jose as a professional, although admitted they're not friends socially.

In my opinion, if Jose were to fall out with Kenyon, Jose wouldn't be sacked (if anything it would probably be Kenyon who would be asked to leave the club). For Jose to get sacked, I think he would have to either a) win nothing for a season or 2 or b) Fall out with Abramovich personally.

That's a bit of a rosy picture of things...I think the true situation is somewhere in between your version and the press' exaggerated views. Considering that Scolari is leaving after Euro 2008, if the Portuguese FA do come in with a serious attempt to hire Mourinho, anything can happen.
