The salary increase is what's called "insurance money" to keep Terry happy. It's not about his talents, but just so there's a smooth transition in the club when Jose's gone and the new coach arrives. Guess who the new coach will be. I've got $500 on him already.

Nah, I'm not serious at all. I don't think Frank is one of the very best midfielders in the world, but he's gone from criminally over-rated to criminally under-rated in a very short space of time. His technique and vision is sometimes excellent and he's done a very good job for Chelsea this season, having had an atroscious world cup.

Just how thick are the people who say that Chelsea's record since his injury shows how good Terry is ?

Here's a thought - pair Rio/Nesta/Ayala/King etc with a good CB.

However - don't have any adequate replacements for your CB's - have a couple of retards like Boulharouz and Ferreira as replacements.

Then when your star CB is out you will ship loads of goals and can all say how great he is.

If Chelsea had King, Andrade, Ben Haim, Vidic etc as Terry's replacement you wouldn't notice him missing - and with the amount Chelsea have spent there's no excuse for not having replacements of that calibre.
