Re: FC Barcelona Thread 2006/2007
If they keep this team together, with minor changes, than i'll say that is possible that this team will achieve greatness.
But i'm only worried if something goes wrong, u know, they dont win anything and than we end up like RM, not knowing what to buy, and this situation to last for several years.

To be a dream team u have to win the CL 3 times in a row, and La Liga 5 times.
That is highly Improbable if not Impossible for Any team, to win CL 3 times in a row and La Liga 5 Time, especially in modern football.
I say 4 League Titles and Two CL titles in a row. while playing the type of Football we do. then they will be comsider a dream team.
but that doesn't matter to me. i just want the team to keep taking it a game at a time.

Re: FC Barcelona Thread 2006/2007
I'm a little bit confused, maybe i'm missing something.
I have a cousin who is a die hard Milan fan. He just sms me and told me that Ronaldinho have apparently pre-signed with Milan with a 4 year contract, and that he confirmed that last night.
Is this a lot of bullshit or there's something in that story?
Maybe some of you have a link to that stroy?

Re: FC Barcelona Thread 2006/2007
I think it is bullshit.. Ronaldinho has stated about a million times that he wants to remain at FC Barcelona for ever. Even the AC Milan president has said that the rumours of the club signing Ronaldinho has no truth to them.
It is just a ploy to get sell more papers. The thinking goes something like this: "AC Milan sells Sheva and Kaká, which means a lot of cash. The club is still in CL so they will sign the best player in the world to keep the fans happy"...

I wish he was on crack.
He's been moaning me the whole summer about Ronaldinho going to Milan. And because they lost Sheva..well, i feel sorry for them, so i told him, come up with 150 mill. euros, and you can have him.

Re: FC Barcelona Thread 2006/2007
Well, Eto'o has a temper, and was a bit disappointed in being taken off. I would have prefered him staying on and Ronaldinho being benched instead.
I am pretty sure that his tantrum will blow over, as he is probably just a bit worried about his form and starting place. He will come good. You saw him working hard yesterday (not very successful) just like Belletti who really managed to make an impact. I would say that the increased competition is working well, and as soon as Eto'o realises that his substitution wasnt a personal criticism then he will come good. Rijkaard will calm him down.

Re: FC Barcelona Thread 2006/2007
I was very pleased about the way the midfield and Belletti pushed forward yesterday.
Espanyol's defence was so focused on the front three (Eto'o and Messi not playing very well) that they couldn't cope with the other players. Belletti proved to be a very good winger, providing not only good crosses but also showed that he is an intelligent footballer.
So even if te attack is misfiring then they tie down enough attention so that we can score anyway

Laporta practically reelected!!
The other candidates couldn't gather enough signatures in order to run against Laporta. Bloody idiots should have known better anyway.

Re: FC Barcelona Thread 2006/2007
Haha how obvious. Well, it saves the club a lot of administrative trouble and expense. It'll be good to have the usual order restored to the club, and then we can also close the Unicef deal which got held up because of these idiots.
