He has been poor compared to last season, and we need Thuram's height and strength against the mamooth Werder players... But I would still have him on the bench, and seeing how poor Motta and Edmílson have been, maybe it is time to play him as DM again.

I wouldn't play him there. Though he is better than edmilson defensively, he is not as good on the ball. I think u should play like till edmilson regains his form:
