Valdés, Jorquera, Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Edmilson, Belletti, Puyol, Gudjohnsen, Eto'o, Xavi, Giuly, Silvinho, Oleguer, Thuram, Messi, Zambrotta, Deco and Motta.

He has been poor compared to last season, and we need Thuram's height and strength against the mamooth Werder players... But I would still have him on the bench, and seeing how poor Motta and Edmílson have been, maybe it is time to play him as DM again.

    Becoming slightly obsessed Wink

Zambrotta needs to get his game going, so I say play him more, and then reevalute in two month's time, but I am guessing that Belletti will start in.

As for Edmílson, as I am pretty sure that Motta will start and get a yellow within 20 mins or so..

I wouldn't play him there. Though he is better than edmilson defensively, he is not as good on the ball. I think u should play like till edmilson regains his form:

I would definitely use that at home, but away against Werder with their giant players I think it is a bit risky playing a midfield which can't win a single header..

Maybe even as rightback as he is better defensively than both Belletti and Zambrotta (at the moment)

It's called rotations, something you won't see much of at the Bernabeu because of your tiny squad.

Check out my new avatar, I found it on the UEFA site. It's a photo of Etoo and Puyol celebrating after Puyol scored against Levski Sofia. It was really funny watching Etoo shaking his head in mock disbelief saying "can you believe Puyol scored" Laugh

Not a patch on the celebrations of the mighty Igor Biscan...

Looks like we might see Giovani dos Santos in action for the first team soon. According to AS Márquez is finishing his nationalisation which leaves an extra non-EU spot open. Now dos Santos can play with the first team without nationalising so that we don't have Arsenal stealing him !!!

If we have an open Non-EU spot then I don't see the problem.. It is not a case of a new player trying to get a Spanish passport.. As long as we don't play Márquez (before the Spanish passport), Dinho, Eto'o and dos Santos in the same squad.

So for the second year in a row we are going to Bremen to face the Germans in them green and white scooba suites. They gave us a tough contest last season. If I recall correctly we won a tough game from a Deco goal and a Ronaldinho penalty. Its not going to go down this way but the lineup I would play is...

    --Ole--Puyol--Thuram--Slyvinho--
    ------------Edmilson---------------
    ----Deco---------------Xavi--------
    --Guily---------------------Dinho----
    --------------Eto'o-------------------

Werder play football, we all know that. They are not one of these teams to murder their fans with boredom considering the money they charge to see them. At home I think they will come out with whips cracking. They lost to Chelsea in matchday 1 and need the points here desperately if they any hope of coming out this group. I think we will need to wether a storm for the first 15-20 minutes or so. However I think it will be in these early minutes where we will have the best chance to find the net ourselves, as Bremen push forward and leave spaces at the back.

I would play Ogg at RB. The monster has gone missing this season hasn't he? I think its time he resufaces to sure up the defence. If we do conceed an early goal than were in for a longer night than them poor bastards on Saw. I love seeing Sly screaming down that touchline onto an overlapping ball from Dinho. seeing how Gio gave Miguel the car keys to his left side to drive a perfect ball to Villa made me *shudder*. We can afford to drop a points in the league to sides like Valencia at this stage of the season (its a marathon, not a sprint), however if we drop points in Germany we will be seeing more "crisis" up in here than snakes on a plane.

Werders man to look out for is Miroslave (why am I not playing for Serbia or Croatia with a name like that) Klose (oh. thats why

Zambrotta will probably still start, as will Motta since he's our most physical player and one of the tallest. And I won't be surprised if Iniesta replaces Xavi.

Eto'o needs to demonstrate that he has been working in Spain for (I think) 10 years.. I think he got his first contract in Spain at age 16 so in theory he is eligible at age 26 (2007) for a Spanish passport.
