I thought Ronaldinho was " moneybags " seeing as since he arrived he`s demanded his contract be reviewed, thats 4 season straight !

Lol ok we'll have to add him to the list too Embarassed

Haha yeah punty, saves me having to type a long explanation although tbh him getting raises every year is not 100% defensible, it's just something we have to do due to the state of football nowadays.

Yes they obviously would because they are Catalan and youth products of the club. What I basically meant was the reason Ronaldinho gets a contract "extension" and raise every year is not because he's a cold-blooded mercenary (he's said he loves Barca and will stay), but because it's necessary to stave off interest from other clubs. More as a symbolic gesture that we still value him VERY highly and will NOT let him go...and of course, it's also partly due to his agent (his brother) taking advantage and exploiting us into giving him raises and "yes we still need you" vibes.

what was the score? With those 3 upfront they should have at least put 1 in the net?

    1-0

Belletti was at fault for the goal, Thats a surprise.

Guily has 3 good chances and missed, just two short of the amount he needs to score a goal

I'm very disappointed by today's result. I obviously didn't watch the match, but was following commentary on Sport and Giuly missed 3 easy one on one chances with the keeper Doh The goal came from a mistake by Belletti...another Doh

Seriously, it may just be a case of the QLDs, but for some reason I'm a bit worried. Apart from the 2nd leg of the Super Cup, I'm not getting a good vibe from the team. I'm not sure how much of it is due to a lack of a proper pre-season, but somehow I'm getting this bad feeling deep down that the hunger is not as much as last year, and complacency is kicking in.

You forget that we started in a very similar way last year, with a number of draws, inability to score and a really slow tempo when passing. Don't worry, the players will improve with more competitive games.

the slight prob you have this season is that the start of the league season is clsoer tothe start of the ECL and you don´t want to be starting slow in that with chavski and werder in your group

Yeah but it's a group match so I think we'll be fine. Although we do want to finish 1st and avoid the big guns in the knockout rounds.

Jeffern had a very good game, according to reports he can on and changed the complexion of the game with his pace and precise passing. Even Ricky has him some a Bit a praise

    He COULD be another one

This was last year's Copa, so it wasn't included in the 7 titles up for grabs this year. This year's Copa Catalunya has yet to be played.

So a rather poor showing by Xavi and Puyol.. Still I think the world cup showed that Pablo and Puyol aren't compatible so I wonder why it has been continued. Xavi just sort of went missing.

I am not worried though; Puyol is much better for the club (most of the defensive screw ups this season has been from Belletti, Márquez and Edmílson) and Xavi just needs to regain match fitness.

Hopefully Giuly will start against Ossasuna, because I think Messi is still lacks a bit to reach the performance of last season. He can come on for the last 20-30 mins or so..

I’m real disappointed the out attack could score a goal against espanyol. That front 3 should be good enough for at least one goal.

but guily was is usuall wasteful self

Ezquerro is the most highly paid player when it comes to wages per minutes played and impact on a game.

i thought saviola would try and give ricky are reason to push him up the picking order.

belletti was shit, olmo has to be covering for him

Only jefferen had a good game it seems

Hopefully we will never have to play such a depleted team again.. Frankly, I think we should get rid off Ezquerro as soon as possible; he is a complete waste of space. As for Giuly, well at least he gets into the right positions and "almost" scores..

We will profit more with UNICEF than with a proper sponsor.

Most cules aren't mad, on the tv yesterday they were in the Camp Nou asking around people (locals not foreigners) about what they thought about the UNICEF sponsorship and everyone of them except one said they liked it.

I think it makes us even more "mes que un club". Our popularity will rise and madridistas are jealous as usual.

I heard lots of Cule`s ringing in saying that if they were gonna " manchar " the shirt they should get alot of money for it and not end up paying for it !
But i guess i must be jealous that we are 25m euros a season and you are paying 1.5m euros a season Laugh
