I cant understand why you think that....we are fighting against Wigan and Sheffield United...and are only 2 and 4 points behind...

Would you have said Boa Morte was taking a gamble as well? Not a windup, but I don't know why he joined you (now!). Fulham are liely to stay in the prem, but with WHFC it isn't a done deal yet.Deaño-WHUFC wrote:aby_gooner wrote:Deaño-WHUFC wrote:aby_gooner wrote:Upson would do well to stay where he is. Brummies are looking good for an automatic promotion, while West Ham look all set for Championship next season. Maybe if the promotion doesnt materialize and West Ham still manage to stay in Premiership, he can move in Summer
you mean those 3 points seperating us from Wigan with 14 games to go is making us look all set for the championship?
Sure only 3 points separate you from Wigan and anything can happen. But then Upson would be in a way better off by staying put till June, when things become clearer. He can still move in June. But he is shafted if he moves now and the Hammers screw up.
oh yeah that point I agree with...Upson would be taking a risk but...
I believe we'll stay up....and Birmingham's promotion is not entirely a done deal when Preston,Derby and Southampton are all easily capable of taking those places
Were there problems at Fulham?

he said he's looking to the long term...its a challenge he wanted to be part of...its a bigger club...and he believes we'll stay up...
when we were relegated in 003 we were about 14 points adrift...and then went down on 42...
now we are 2 points away...I dont think we will go down

Given the quality of your squad You should have been comfortably placed somewhere in Mid-table. But something isnt going right with your team. And though I had high hopes that Curbs might be able to stem the rot, but I dont see many positives yet. But as you say 14 games left to go... Even if you play at 80% of your potential you will be safe by April. But the question is will you?
But yes, between the three Wigan, WHU, and SU I would say I want Hammers to stay up. I dont want to see the ugly football of Sheffield united and wont shed a tear if they go back to Championships next season.

Nah, we signed him from Pompey, who were also in the Premiership that season. I thought of him at first but then checked - definitely got him from Pompey.

ashton went from crewe to norwich i suppose. although being in the championship with norwich is not quite back to being with crewe in the championship

Wigan to West Brom... Wigan were already promoted, then the Baggies went down the next year.
