How about Cesc? After Viera's departure he took a while to settle and sometimes seemed a little bit lost in the midfield. Over the past year the kid has dominated the midfield against the likes of Juventus and United and became a key player to Arsenal.

Worst dip: Emerson, Riquelme and Sheva.

    Improved: Iniesta, Valdes

Biggest dip (more from post CL final onwards): Marquez, Gio, Ronaldinho, Giuly (goals dried up), Xavi (not the same after injury), Edmilson, Zambrotta and Thuram (but they are adjusting so it's ok), Ezquerro (was shit and has become shitter, if that's possible)

utterly useless for around two years previous... takes an extended eye holiday and comes back playing brilliantly. lets hope the arsenal performance is a sign of things to come though Wink

I'll ignore the useless for two years and take the compliment. ok

    @ Axe

How has Huntelaar deproved? (is this even a word), just because he is not a 'one' man show anymore (as many labeled him) hes still contributing and learning.

He's almost a *no show* at the moment.

Last year he couldn't stop scoring, he was lethal and he delivered all the time.

Now it's more like the cow's ass and banjo thing...

I also still have faith in his abilities, but I've got no faith in Ten Cate getting the best out him (and that's putting it mildly)....and you know what happens with strikers in a down spiral : all of a sudden they can't hit anything anymore.

So I'm fearing the worst at the moment...

(though if it were up to me I'd rather have your scenario Ale)

Its the current regime, that is 'depriving' him .. however he has 'partial' blame.
