Gila is also a doub along with seedorf but we really really really neeeeeed Gila. His presence is a boost and i don't think Oli can do it all on his own. I hope Gila passes fit, and Gourcuff plays in Seedorf's position. Maybe Ambro to start to give us hight too.

Defence is my main worry and I wil settle for a draw and take it home to teh San Siro to finish it up. I havn't watched celtic play much but from what i have heard, they can tear Milan's defence. Without Nesta, and Kaladze in top form it's going to be hard and Kalac in goal.

I reckon Oddo will start as RB as Cafu did absolutly nothing against Siena, and Janku will be on the Left. I can't wait for the game, it's been tooo ling with no C.L and now it's time to kick some ass

I think Seedorf will play since he skipped the Siena trip with this game in mind. I reckon Ancelotti will use the xmas tree formation and only bring Gila on if he is needed.

Seedorf didn't play due to injury, nor did Gila the same reaosn too! It menas Milan are without Dida, Nesta, Serginho, Favalli and Inzaghi... and not fully fit due to injury: Gila, Seedorf, Kalac, and Kaladze.

Yeah I think he will go for teh Xmas formation though... I am still prefering Gourcuff, clearly because Seedorf hasn't been good and Gourcuff has a great understanding with Janku on the left. Gourcuff and kaka can be so interesting together.

As for Gila, I hope Oli can handle it, and Gila should come on if needed. Lets hope all goes well! Ancellotti keeps on refering this seaosn to when we won, and now this game when we played against Man Utd and we only has one forward with Crespo being our star!

...funny - I remember him escaping Zaccardo (?) to score a header but not getting within 30 yards of goal for the rest of the game.

I also remember numerous EPL fans slating him on the board saying that Miller raped him in a desperate attempt to bring the great man down to the level of John Terry & co.

One of Hiddink's biggest fuck ups was not starting J.VofH in the 1st leg v Milan - he could cause Milan all sorts of problems as he did in the 2nd leg that year.

Nakamura is class but the type of player Italian sides usually deal with very well.

Wouldn't be suprised at all if Celtic went through but Milan are slight favourites for me.

I hope so, It'll give us width in midfield, and along with Wilson and Naylor supporting from full back, there'll hopefully be plenty quaulity crosses for the forwards to attack.
I really hope we play at a very high tempo from the off and put Milan under severe pressure, not allowing them to settle into a pattern to play their game.

I’m unsure what the result will be but I’m looking forward to the game. But aside from the game itself, Strachan’s interviews are always the most entertaining part of the whole occasion!

    Pre-match interview 1129 Monday 19th February 2007

Reporter: ‘Gordon, what do you think Milan will bring to tonight’s game?’

Strachan: ‘A football, some players, a manager, some staff, a pretty lady in a pink dress, some boots, kits, children, parents, friends, family, disease, a haughty attitude to our Celtic traditions, good designer gear, swanky sunglasses, fit burds, that prick Gattuso, a ciabatta, good scientific and artistic tradition stretching back to Michelangelo and Da Vinci, a piano, pliers, an argos catalogue, a gaggle of crows…the whole kit and caboodle.

I'd be surprised if Miller starts. His goal scoring record has been nothing short of appaling this season. He works hard, and creates chances for others, but I don't think he will start. I personally think VoH and Beattie will give AC more problems.

@Kuntz maybe I over exaggerated the 'torrid' part, but imo Nesta looked uncomfortable against Miller.

They say the greater the risk taken, the greater the reward received. Strachan clearly adheres to that line of thought: he is playing Lennon and Sno against Kaka, Seedorf, Pirlo and Gourcuff.

He is has dropped Gravesen and opted for the misfiring Miller on the right, too!

He has also thrown on a rookie defender called O’Dea!

It all rests on McGeady, JVoH, Boruc and the brilliant Nakamura now…
