That's what I thought also, funny that you mention it. Those "modern" Nike boots really don't seem to work well for a lot of players, not just in this match. But oh well, he gets more than enough money for it.

Don't rate him either. Made a crappy obeservation too when Huntelaar tried to square the ball, he said "Er zieht ab" that was not what he was doing he was passing not shooting (was very clear).

By the way I have a theory partaining to the Schwalbe. It seems to be accepted in catholic countries and is seen as not acceptable in protestant countries. In Holland players from Catholic provinces/clubs e'g' Van Bommel do it more too. Is it the same in Germany is the schwalbe more accepted in Munich than say in Hamburg or Bremen?

By the way I don't have anything agianst both faiths.

Hmmm...that's quite a theory, I really don't know to be honest. Usually, divers are being frowned upon by the fans in Germany, not just in the North. Hoeness just said in an interview that he wants to increase the penalties for diving, together with Werder and other clubs who agree. We'll see what they can do about it.

Bayern are known to be extremely lucky though, there even is a word for it: "Bayern Dusel".

Interesting theory, but I think it's more of a South-European thing. We mock the Germans always though with their Schawlbes. But to be honest they dont seem to dive as much as they used to do.

That's true, that's why it was kinda funny to read that from Hoeness. Still, Bayern have a lot of power and influence in German football, and if Hoeness is really serious about it, we might see some new rules in the Bundesliga soon.

Nothing, I prefer Catholics to Protestants. They at least drink beer after going to church.

Just don't like Van bommel & PSV players have always been diving & playing cowardish counter-attacking football for most of their existence.

That's good. In Holland the refs are quite tough on diving. Always funny to see new arrivals be amazed when they get carded. Would like a red for it though.

Baumann is essential for us indeed, we really need a good replacement for him next season, because he is too injury prone these days.

With his ninth goal in Europe this season, Klass Jan Huntelaar restores some pride for Ajax by putting them ahead on the night. Whether the Dutchman's effort can stir a remarkable revival is another matter however. With 30 minutes to go Ajax need to find the net a further three times.
